Windows Vista? - Page 2

It sounds as if your processor meets the minimum requirements for a system to run Vista. Even with the 3 gigs of ram, it's going to run unbelievably slow. My family has a laptop with a 1.8 core duo and 2gigs of ram that runs it like **** as well. Vista will be good in the future, but not with the technology out now. It's just too expensive. Just go and buy XP.

I have a Vista but it runs amazing for me...

Is it just FFR, or everything in general?

Updating drivers will not do anything in this case.

The fool probably bought a computer with 3 gigs of ram and a 64 mb video card ahahahaha.

PS 3 gigs and $899 I call BS unless you're stacking your memory card from before or you bought a ****ty computer that evidentially had a lot of RAM because you're one of those silly people who thinks more ram = better performance rofl gj.

Everything is pretty much DDR2 now, isn't it? And check to see what processes are running. Maybe you have a resource-whore firewall or antivirus.

Vista is ruining my life. Okay, a little dramatic.

Advice: Wait. Like someone mentioned, too many compatibility issues. Until it successfully phases out XP... the little kinks and issues can really be a bother.

Or.. buy a mac. =]

No one has given me any reasons to get Vista other than it's visually pleasing nature, which I don't care for.

I have the same issue. 2GHz C2D/2GB/256 7600 should be plenty to run FFR, but I get a frame or two of lag several times a second, making the arrows somewhat stutter. Meanwhile, my aging 1.5/256 computer can handle FFR just fine with XP.

DX10 is nice and all, but the first game to use that will be Crysis, which won't be out for a while. There is absolutely no reason to get Vista right now.

Ahahahah frankkk, i could have built you a better computer for around $200 cheaper. Those store bought machines are all horrible, no matter how much you pay.
