So you think you mastered FFR...
I am pretty sure most of us here play FFR so long that things start to become less challenging.
So this thread is to brainstorm on some challenges that would give FFR a new twist. Please keep in mind that completing these challenges does not gain anything! How many can you complete? -------- Challenge 1: Math Wiz Want to combine Math with FFR? This challenge is to combine FFR with Math. First pick out a problem (Whether from Addition to Quadratic Equations to Mathematical Inductions) but don't solve it out yet! Then pick any song (Easy or hard, remember to challenge yourself!), try to Full Combo that song and solve the Math equation you picked before the song ends. No cheating, don't solve any part of that equation until you start the song Challenge your friends, who has the greater mind capacity? -------- Challenge 2: Boo?? Can you count the number of boos you play during a song? This challenge is relatively interesting. Pick a rather challenging song for you, it can be any song. Then try to get exactly 100 boos when completing a song. Go for 200 or even 300 if you dare! Did I forget to mention try to get a Full combo while doing it? :P -------- Challenge 3: Mouse Mouse Revolution Getting tired of pressing arrow keys, feel your too good for arrow keys? Well, lets have a little fun; clicking arrow keys! Use your cursor to click on the top arrows during the game. What is the toughest song you can pass? -------- Challenge 4: Warping the Game How many mods can you add to a song until the game is completely warped? Try Dark, Hidden, or maybe even X3 speed! -------- Challenge 5: Remapping your keys If you have used the HotKey generator to use spread keys, why don't you reverse them a little. Maybe make your 4 main keys in 3 x 3 square pattern? -------- Challenge 6: General Conversations Don't you hate it when you are trying to concentrate on a song when someone starts talking to you? Well, try and have a general conversation with someone while playing a relatively hard song for you. Do you notice a difference in your gameplay? ------- You get the general Idea! I'll let you know if I think of anymore challenges, anyone have any similar challenges they would like to add in?

TTTM is super easy with the mouse... Maybe it would be hard with 3x speed though...

Re: So you think you mastered FFR...
Lol, there not supposed to have any sense to them. How do you think we drink Milk today? /Random
I find most of these easy, and the ones like the Math one, extremely good brain exercise. Think about it, if you can learn to develop your brain capacity to a figure where you can play a game like FFR and manage to do challenging math in your head - you are in for a real gain. I guarantee you that half of you are going to try it after reading it ^_^

Most of these challenges were actually first out of my mind, hence why I ask for your ideas :P

Anything with more than 8 jumps in a row, and MMR is impossible.

Re: So you think you mastered FFR...
Wait, how do you hit jumps in general with the mouse?
P.S. If you've got nothing better to say than "Fail, IBL, ur dum" etc., then don't post at all. |

Re: So you think you mastered FFR...
So the only song possible to FC is 100BB? Lame.
Oh, and I've already done Challenge 1. Chem assignment while playing TGWP. Well, it wasn't strictly math, but you get the idea. Last edited by MeaCulpa; 06-24-2007 at 10:28 PM.. |

Can you say the alphabet backwards while playing "Spinning With You" (Skill Token) and still full combo it? As for me, I can't even say the alphabet backwards. Maybe I'll learn how to play spread, they certainly have a higher advantage for scoring big on harder songs. I think I'll learn how to play a different set-up other than tri-finger arrow setup.

Just hit one out of the two notes in the jump each time and you should be fine. |
