I honestly don't really care if whether or not darkshark's a guy or a girl. Genders don't really matter to me over the internet.

To me it's always, you're a person on the other side who is either smart, cool, retarded, funny, etc- Could be a combination.

But because Darkshark has been essentially spouting, "I'm a girl" in basically every post it made, in addition to the videos and jump on it, I'd admittedly be rather surprised if Darkshark really turned out to be a guy. In the end though, my view on Darkshark as a person wouldn't really change aside from being a fake to me.
