I thought their judging was really ****ed up and wanted to see some of the files for myself to see what they're like. I thought it was stupid for rejecting a file for one dumb reason. I still think it's stupid, but I don't care nearly as much anymore

It's like having only a panel of players for judging in a simfile pack- A majority of the sims in the pack would suck and fail at life and the only good sims that will have been accepted would be simfiles by like Zaghurim, IamMe, or Yesssss for example. A bunch of potentially good sims would be rejected because they would nitpick at minor details or make several up (See Tasselfoot), just to find reasoning to reject such a file.

Making simfiles yourself to the point where you're actually decent at it gives you some kind of insight on what makes a good, long-lasting and fun file, and what doesn't. That's why until Tasselfoot or Shashakiro (God Forbid he makes another file) step up their simfile making game, I won't really take their judgements seriously. Jimerax is pretty much the only guy in the judgement panel that I'd keep in mind as far as commentaries go because he's made a file himself. Same would go for Rebirth and MAYBE even hi19hi19 because I know he at least attempts here and there to do good work.

I think this has been said before -- you don't have to be an artist to be able to judge art. You don't have to be a musician to know what makes good music. And in this case, you don't have to be a stepfile author to be able to know what's good and what's not.

I don't know who you are talking to Pokelda. But as for me no, It isn't New One.

I have gotten permission from this artist specificly just for this song, It is my anthem, and where my name has come from all these years.

As TGWP was to rebirth, This song is to me.

It is my baby.

Interestingly enough, if you find me a song long enough, I'll step it. I stepped a pad file that was ten minutes long that was somehow not boring. It's all in song choice when it comes to ridiculously long things.

Yup, Next year sounds about right with the 70+ Queue, Unless Tass has a dump the whole queue in the game day.

I've stepped a 26 minute long Sharpnel mix

except that was boring as **** and I didn't really realize it until after I finished. There aren't too many long songs that can keep your attention throughout, for both the player and the person stepping it.
