To be more specific.....which games do you have that you think are the best to play with a few friends(not online)
I'd especially like to know about PS2 games.....and Dreamcast (Those are my only two systems) |

I'll say the obvious, Halo, but as far as ps2, I personally really like the 007 games (James Bond) though not everyone likes those...
Also a great game is midnight club (racing game) although the story sucks, its fun to throw around cars in a bulldozer ![]() Also of course DDR is pretty good. Im not much of a sports fan, so i don't know about any sport games |

Dreamcast: Dead Or Alive 2, and DEFNITELY Power Stone 2. Power Stone 2 has some of the funnest multiplayer, just the thing you need if you SSBM-depraved.

The GCN is better for multiplayer games than the PS2. I personally recommend Super Smash Brother Melee.
As for the Dreamcast, I bought mine solely for Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and that's also on the PS2, so I recommend getting that.

Call of Duty or perhaps Unreal Tournament 2004.
What? Haven't you ever heard of a LAN party before?

GC = No online multiplayer = Stupid.
Thank you, Laharl, beat me to it- Unreal Tournament 2004 is by and large the best multiplayer game out there right now. BF1942 is awesome (haven't played Call of Duty extensively, can't really judge it), Far Cry's multiplayer is suprisingly fun, and there's still nothing wrong with going old school and kickin' back with some TFC or CS. Oh, and suprisingly enough, America's Army is really quite fun. |

Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2 (People here have the best taste in games)
Super Smash Brothers Melee Timesplitters 2 Mario Party 4 and 5 (PC) Unreal Tournament 2004 (PC) Rise of Nations GCN has a network adapter. You CAN play online. It's just like every other system, but hey, you DON'T have to pay a monthly fee! I'm not entirely sure how, as I don't have the broadband adapter, but I know you can. |

It does go online, as Mr.Squeek kindly pointed out. Ever hear dof Phantasy Star Online? Yeah, it was ported from the Dreamcast to the GCN. And it's online. |

Gamecube has a total of three online games. And I don't believe it has a licensed network adapter (correct me if I'm wrong), but even if it does, like I said, it has three games. So, it has essentially no online multiplayer.
Stupid. However, that's why I have a PC- for games online. So... |

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O |

Okay, here's the thing: Lacking online multiplayer does not suck. Anyone who has played a game with 3 other friends in the same room or been to a LAN knows this. It is totally fun, and completely pwns Online.

Lan Parties > Regular Online play. However, online is available whenever you want. Lan parties take planning and there's not always a bevy of friends to duke it out with. And without multiplayer, you're stuck goin solo. Plus, very few things beat a heated 32 player UT2K4 match, online or not.
