I use 1.25 speed + screencut or simply screencut. It's hard to play the harder songs with speed mods because of the average misses bug.

I still screencut cause the speed mods just make the arrows blurry and not register half the time.

I can't stand the strange framerate when I play speedmods, I even use the "Sudden" mod on Stepmania to have speedmods.

2x + screencutting all the way up to where the "perfect" shows up.

I would do better on SM with c300 and screencut.

Use the "Sudden" mod, or take a piece of paper to your monitor (If LCD, then tape it to the top as to not ruin it over time).

Screencutting loses.

Speedmods for the win...It helps my PA so much and just makes it generally easyer.

Nothing "wins". The method of playing varies by the person. Hell, Knoobish basically uses both.

Speedmods suck, really.
I don't plan on using them very much. Maybe 1.25x, but most likely not going to use them at all.
