Since this page hasn't been active in a while, I don't think a double post will hurt.

Watch them. 80s is gonna kick so much ass.

I got Guitar Hero 2 the other day and I must say.

Guitar Hero has a better soundtrack.

Anyway, I'm having a lot of trouble getting the fifth button down. Any suggestions? At present, I can handle "normal" mode with only the first 4 keys, but I get owned when the 5th key comes into it.

EDIT: just saw that Jordan video posted a few posts back...

I think I know why I can't do the 5th button. I had a skateboarding injury a while back and my left hand isn't anywhere near as mobile as my right because of it.

Also, he goes two handed on the fret keys at one point. How? Is he getting his strums in with his elbow or something?

I got this game two days ago and I've been playing it nonstop (GHII). It's pretty amazing. The way I conquered the fifth key was to just do coop at my friend's house and take the bass on hard since it's always easier and slower usually. I just slide my hand down for the Orange and hit Green with my index. I've beaten and five starred all the songs on Easy and Medium, Hard pretty much rapes me though. I've made it to the Face Melters on Hard, but only have around four songs that are above four stars on Hard; the rest are three stars.

Regarding bass:

Yeah, after beating it on Normal, I decided to check out the tutorial section where I discovered hammer-ons/pull-offs and I also noticed that I could play the bass sections for songs in single player mode when previously I figured it was only for multiplayer.

But yeah, I don't think it's possible for me to get the 5th key with any sort of effective accuracy thanks to my hand/wrist/finger not being as mobile as it should be.

What I do now is instead of having my four fingers on green to blue I have them from red to orange all the time. It's a lot easier to switch between green and red with your index than to swith between blue and orange with you pinky.

@Panda. Rock the 80's looks like fun.

What seth does is pretty much the concensus on how to play with orange (at least when starting to switch to hard, expert is really song dependant).

And yes. I cannot wait for 80s.

EDIT: I finally have every song (a lot w/o pics, but o well) put in to SH. I have a lot of improving on a lot of songs tho *cough*Surrender*cough*Cherry Pie*cough*Laughtrack*cough*Radium Eyes*cough*. Im ranked 340th

EDIT EDIT:

Old Laughtrack:
1539th, 139,442, 5.6*

New Laughtrack:
40th, 238,470, 8.5*, 100%, 557

lololololol how could i do so bad before. Im 325 with that one song.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: Season 5 league is open for signups. Im already in

It's scorehero multiplier cutoffs. You need..

2.8 for a 5 star
3.5 for a 6 star (I think)
4.4 for a 7 star
5.2 for an 8 star

maybe not in-game but i think on score hero 5 star is max score on a song WITHOUT using starpower, and anything higher is using star power.... i think
*EDIT*

Yay for my buddy getting dlc on his xbox, now i can add to my career score.

O ya, crappy run on Jordan on 360, I ****ed up hardcore in a lot of stupid sections, but I beat it, got the achievement, all without knowing my friend was video taping . I yell something really loud that is actually "clutch bucket", because I was wearing a homemade transformers helmet (don't ask) and we were calling it the clutch bucket. Go fig.

Link to vid is here, and here's a pic with me wearing the clutch bucket:

God I wish I could pass Jordan

I fail literally 5 seconds before the end of solo C, every single time.

O ya, and congrats to dore for getting the Eyeball. That wasn't an accomplishment for me, seeing as I was really good at expert on the first one to begin with, but I know for a lot of people it is a major accomplishment. Battle Axe is your next goal!

Cyanite, my words of advice for Jordan: Watch my vid.

Do NOT mess up like i do in the intro .

Try to nail as much, if not all, of the descending scales before solo b. If you can go in to solo B with full life it helps a ton. Its not necessary (see vid) it just helps a whole ****load.

Note where I use star power in the video. If you can survive till there (or even a lil later, if you're good enough), you can set yourself up to being pretty much full in the green in the second half of solo C.

Note that if you completely **** over the end of solo C (see vid, I got extremely lucky) there is a high chance that you wont hit the BNoF. If you do, try as hard as you can to not let the adrenaline stop flowing and not yell out until solo E, cuz if you are deep enough in the red, you can still die very, very easily.

If you make it, the rest is pretty much cake. I do recommend, however, learning how to HO/PO the bridge at the end instead of alt-strumming the triplets. I still havent gotten the hang of it, but my bro has, and he almost always nails it.

I hope that helps

The pulloffs leading into solo B usually leave me in the yellow, if not worse. I suck at pulloffs generally, and these are pretty fast ones. I've made it to the point in the video where you used star power before, I still fail in the same spots most of the time.

As far as me HO/PO'ing the bridge at the end, I can already do that. I can do that or strum the whole thing without much of a problem, and I've gotten a 100% on the smaller stream section near the end of the solo in practice mode before. It's just solo B and C that screw me over.

I'm going to go try it again..
