I can't describe Drone Metal, actually. It's some pretty ****ed up stuff. I'll just "hook" you up with some Sunn.

You still didn't explain your point as in why do you think they're "all" gay.

Some of the bands sound all the same. Just because you can tremelo pick really fast, doesn't make you a good guitar player. Just because you can almost sound mute when you yell into a microphone, doesn't make you a great frontman.

The bands that I like have a specific quality about them that makes me like them. For instance, Flo Mournier. He's one of the worlds greatest drummers. Muhammed Suiçmez of Necrophagist is a excellent guitar player who, in my opinion, is almost on par with Yngwie Malmsteen. He did the first album all by himself (not including the drums, but used a drum machine).

So it's all about speed? It's all about stage attitude? Not very convincing arguments.

Is that a band? I bought that Headbangers Ball: The Revenge, it has cool artists in it. I started headbanging and my neck started hurting like hell.

I got some Heaven Shall Burn today. For being semi-hardcore, I like them. They're singer sounds unique. I wonder what he does, (Straight vocal cords or false cords), to get that type of sound.

agreed so few of them actually care about the music and just go with songs guaranteed to sell, which is why most new metal bands are gay they only want money and care nothing about true talent or good music and therefore this lack of caring has given us emo, super emo, and ultra mega emo music and it all sucks.

Which is why I have stayed away from the '90s metal bands. Well, there are a select few from the early '90s I listen to.

I listened to children of bodom and they're alright. I still like some of the oldies like Metallica, Slayer, and Black Sabbath.

You mean **** like Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold System of a Down, etc.

I'm talking about real bands like Rhapsody, Sonata Arctica, Black Majesty, Axamenta, etc. Those bands actually care about their own music and make an effort in creating the best music they possibly can (some may not be as talented as others, but at least they're trying).

Never heard of them. System of a down and Avenged Sevenfold are cool. It doesn't matter if they care about theirusic. They do what they to write their own song and to try to make people like their songs.

Yeah I've heard of Children of Bodom and In Flames. They're decent. What about Nile, Suicide Silence, and Dying Fetus >?
