Yea I was just wondering, does anybody know the chances/odds of being in a plance accident? Cause I just got back from a flight and we hit some bad turbulence, the plane dropped like 10 feet twice, scary stuff.

Your chances of being involved in an aircraft accident are about 1 in 11 million. On the other hand, your chances of being killed in an automobile accident are 1 in 5000. (Source)

I've been in 21 car vehicle accidents in my life. That I can rmember. Now if I knew how many times i've been in a vehicle I could proabbly work out my chances...
As for planes. I'm not scared of them considering all I do is sleep and not care about anything. |

No, it's 2 out of 50. And it's the truth.
Everyone knows that 2 out of every 50 airplanes crash.

I haven't been on a plane in years. I don't plan on it anytime soon either.

Statistically, 2 of 50 IS 1 of 25. And it's nowhere near that high of a number; people most definitely wouldn't take airplanes if they knew that their odds of being dropped several thousand feet were a whopping 4%. =/
This may help with what you're looking for. |

you have a better chance of being killed by a wine cork or being killed from a donkey then from being in a plane crash

I heard that the chances of being in a plane crash are like 1 in a billion or something like that...

Last time I was on a plane we flew through a pretty big thunderstorm. Seeing the storm from above was really neat looking.

I wouldn't know what the odds are since I'm too scared to get into a plance.
