Find a copy of TM3 (as in Trance Machina 3 hosted by Su2). Get the file located here: Fix TM3 And so far as I've tested it works. It's not at it's best but it's functional. Thanks got to Zoot of the SM Devs for giving me most of the lines needed to update to Alpha 18.

Just what kind of sentence is that? Your unique use of words makes me want to regurgitate on my keyboard. I commend you.

You need not use the fix, copy the metrics from the default theme to the TM folder. The fix probably saved more of the appearance, but it's dead, or down, so this should provide as the valid alternative.

You said after a level, I assume you mean after you went through the three stages. It never popped up an error for me (nothing had with TM once I copied the metrics, I have Alpha 17 and checked it, still works fine), but change it to Event Mode and see if the same happens again (given you actually do mean normal play).

I once got those resizing errors, only several of them, though. I asked for it not to show the warning again, "Don't display this message," or something to that extent, and all was well. I wouldn't have a clue as to why your SM crashed.

Besides, TM3 doesn't work well with newer Alphas. Matters such as transparency, last time I saw, had been occurring. I'm not even using it anymore due to such. If you can't get it to work, wait for TM4.

And the metrics are in Themes\default\metrics.ini, but by your previous response I guess you had the intelligence to figure it out after 10 minutes of nail-biting enthusiasm.

One more thing: "WARNING: Couldn't find any SM, DWI, BMS, or KSF files in 'Songs/ffr/Fireyoshi1/'. This is not a valid song directory."
Delete that directory if you're not going to put anything in it.

It amazes me you don't seem to connect Zhek the guy who's making TM5 with Zhek, the guy who just posted this fix... If you've got some sort of problem, then fix it yourself.

Because you have no clue what you're doing, you posted your whole crash dump. This doesn't do a damn thing for me because I made a theme, not stepmania. All these related problems would be reported in your log file.

"ok can u please speak english "copy metrix?" who thu $*%# i do dat (#$%?" - It's metrics, in your theme folder, read the instructions. I'm doing YOU a favor, not you me.

Nemosta:
I played three levels (the same song, as I'm currently only using a single song in SM to have it load up fast for testing) and went through all the game over stuff, no problems. I also removed a lot of metrics I wasn't actually changing anything, so it should work fine.

Resizing errors are quite common, but I can't really practically fix them without uploading A LOT more files. This fix is far easier because it just allows it to work.

I had no problems with anything save the score label in evaluation kept flipping between the time label (they're the same graphic file divided in two, I don't know why they're doing this) but your problem may be that you're running it at a higher resolution then standard 640x480. Because so many files aren't even number dimensions, higher resolutions cause these images (which have to be resized to even numbers) to "tear" and cause some more glaring errors. There's no real reason to run it higher then 640x480, as that's the base resolution for this theme.

The newer version of TM is being designed with a bit more care and should avoid these problems.

Copying metrics really screws up a bunch of things, but try using the fix now, and tell me how it works.

Link seems to be working for me.

::EDIT:: well, the link for the fix seems to be messed up. So for all the people that don't feel like fixing that link even though it's very easy, here you go The Right TM3 Fix Link
