![]() So I'm staring at the Rubik's Cube sitting on my desk, and wondering if I'll ever solve it. That led me to ask this...
Has anyone on the forums solved one, and if so, what advice do you have for someone trying to solve one? |

Nothing.

![]() You won't ever solve one on your own.
Go look up instructions on how to do it, memorize the moves on how to get what pieces where you want them, because theres no set "turn x,y,z this many times and its solved" type thing, you have to go through certain steps, first step is always solving 1 entire side of the cube. Which is the basis for the many different types of solutions out there. http://www.chessandpoker.com/rubiks-cube-solution.html |

![]() Yea I can solve one like *pow* whenever someone asks.
Ok, my fastest was 1:21 and I usually solve them in around 3 minutes. Theres an Asian at my school however that can solve them blindfolded. He's pretty cool. <3 tu darkshark rofl |

![]() i love rubiks cubes
i have a 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, and 5x5 lets see, the 3x3x3 cube has many different algorithms in which to solve it. I learned the layer by layer method(which isnt the best for speed cubing) and i always solve it under 1 minute 30 seconds. your best bet would be to go to http://www.speedcubing.com/chris/ He has alot of useful websites that might help you out HAPPY CUBING =] EDIT: my record is 50 seconds |

![]() Just keep trying. It took me forty-five minutes to solve the top level, forty-five for the middle level, and two months for the bottom.
It takes time, but figuring them out is quite rewarding. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |
