OK, so lag isn't exactly a new thing for me, but recently I've found that I can't complete a single song without the screen freezing up on me, and then going to the results screen after getting a bunch of misses. Now, when this happens, the notes stop moving, or move at such a low frame rate that it's impossible to see at what part of the song it's at, and the music has the same problem. I've tried hitting the notes for the songs that I know well enough, just to see if they will still register, but alas they don't.
I hope I don't have to quit FFR because of some stupid lag, but I have no idea what's causing this. Are there technical difficulties currently with the site, or am I just experiencing some computer issues that I never had to deal with before?

Someone is hacking into your computer...but seriously, it could be one of two things.
One, your Video card might be overheating or going bad. or Two, you have some spyware or adware lagging your computer. Those are my two guesses, but I can't say that either one is true because I haven't seen the problem first hand.

It happens to me too sometimes. Then other times it will be fine, and yet other times this entire site refuses to load.

This is a custom title.

I don't know. Reduce the quality, clear cache, use IE, turn off AIM, etc., etc.

In my opinion, the best thing you can do to avoid lag is to get a new PC, maybe i'm wrong obut who knows.
