Minutes to Midnight, New Linkin Park CD

They are coming out with a new cd and they have already released a single from it. I was just wondering what people think of the new cd, please leave some comments

There really can't be any thoughts on the CD as a whole yet. It's not even out.

People can post thoughts about "What I've Done", though.

They claim the song is a bridge between their old style and their new style, but I don't see it. It seems like the same old Linkin Park to me.

Not that it's bad. I think it's great.

Right now, according to the official Linkin Park webpage, there are 10,006 minutes 'til midnight.

I can't wait for this cd. I liked the single. I'll just have to wait and see if I like everything else as well.

Anyone know the exact release date? I keep hearing different things and I don't know what to believe.

May 15th is the release date. If you can't find a good source why not just check the bands official website?

And their first two albums were better than Minutes to Midnight.

Although I think MtM has their best song they've ever preformed, Given Up.

I've actually been there, recently, but with all of the different dates that I had been hearing I didn't know. Blame lazyness for not going back to check, but I also knew that someone here would know and post, so thanks.

I heard the new song, and I don't judge albums based on signals. The record label will make them turn the most generic sounding song into a music video. It doesn't mean that's how the rest of the album sounds, so we just have to wait and see. I hope it's more like old LP, I hate how rap they've gotten, especially with Collision Course (I know it was a collaberation with JayZ). I miss their hard ass Hybrid Theory ways though. And even Meteora was good, but it was really weak lol

Yea well I think this album will be more "Hybrid Theorish". But I checked the website and the release date (for the US) is May 15th. The track listings are:

it doesn't sound like the old stuff at all. when I first heard it I was a little weary as to if I was going to like it or not but, after a couple of times, it's ok.

its true, they dont sound much like the did on other cd's, but i have to say, i've heard What I've Done, and i think its alright. i might get the new cd or just borrow it from a friend that gets it

I definitely liked Meteora the most, by far. Hope this album is as good as the others were.

ohay having the cd before all of you.

PS It's really good. It's more metally than their previous stuff and such. A lot less rapping from Mike Shinoda and more vocals from the one guy. Less techno beats and synth and more guitar and drums. Yeah, it's not bad.

the cd already got leaked. i just downloaded and burned but haven't got a chance to listen to it. I've heard its a lot different.

I whole heartedly agree. Although the numb JZ mix was pretty good IMO.
I totally didnt know there was a leak, *devilish laugh* time to go listen to it.

I was a huge fan of Linkin Park before. Even though to me, all their songs do sound the same. xD I don't really like "What I've Done" though. It's so... I dunno. Not something that I really caught on. I hope their album is good though. Looking forward to listening to the album, and hoping that I don't get disappointed like their debut single.
