Arrow bomb>Iron Arrow cause of stun, and Arrow bomb can hit vertically to an extent. Iron Arrow cannot be used in many maps as well. I know you can jump arrowbomb, not sure if u can jump iron arrow.

@ Squeek: No thanks rofl. If I was going to do something like that, I'd do much more basic class overviews and not get so indepth into subclasses, because frankly, there are quite a few things I just don't know about that well. If anyone else wants to go in and edit in Noah's comments about xbowmen and whatever else has been said, feel free, but I don't feel like taking the effort.

This question has probably been answered ****loads of times before, but which mage class is better when it is LUKless? I'm on Bellocan so there are no maple staffs as of yet, and I'm just going to be playing this when I get pissed off at retarded pqers (which will undoubtedly be a lot -_-). And also, what sort of equipment (female character) should I be getting on a semi-funded budget?

Clerics are probably the "best" pure ints.

That's debatable. Would you want to be the strongest of the weakest class or would you rather be the strongest of the strongest class? Obviously clerics don't need strength, but stop and think about this one:

Heal has 30% mastery. Every other magician skill has better mastery. This means that in reality, clerics get the smallest damage boost of any class. Thus, the argument becomes "well clerics are weak to start with, so they need the help of being lukless more than any other magician subclass". I agree here, but to say that cleric is the best choice for someone who is making a lukless... that's just wrong. The fact is that lukless is the best cleric, but cleric is not necessarily the best lukless. All classes work well lukless. Don't pick a subclass because one person says that one class works better as lukless (and thanks to heal's mastery, cleric really does get the smallest damage boost).

Why do you need power? Well you need power to level, and clerics level the fastest. You also can heal and don't need the defense, as well as having and int boost for more MP. You even get to use a weapon forever that boosts your HP by 100, which is helpful to clerics. I mean, if you just want big numbers, go with another type of character. If you just want a magician, go with a cleric. If you don't mind taking tons of damage for a while in 2nd job, go I/L I guess.

I'd put fire at the worst for pures, but they do get some stable and high damage. Not as much as some other classes, though.

I mean, why does damage matter if you level slow? The point of pure int is to level faster and go places you normally wouldn't be able to earlier.

Actually, in my experience, ice/lightning can always level faster if they do things right. It's not until like 6x that clerics have any sort of advantage anyway. I mean, hell... lightning hits more enemies at once and deals more damage. How could clerics level faster when they deal out less damage? The only thing is that they do take lots more damage (or rather, they use more HP pots), but then there's always Retz.

The lama thing is a moot point as well. Sure, it's good, but find me a lama that is as strong as a black umbrella. Yes, there are some, but black umbrella almost always wins out. Not only that, but as far as HP gear goes, ER tube is better. For HP, it's ER tube, for mattk, it's black umbrella. Thing is, if a priest needs more HP, they aren't worried about damage at all. In fact, the amount of damage that they'd do even with their best magic attack gear would be paltry compared to the DK they're with. And not only that, but we may very well get new lukless weapons in a week, and even if we don't the future is always open for new lukless gear to come out.

When considering which magician class to choose, I'd feel it's necessary to point out that cleric/priest never get any good drops. In 2nd job, ice gets a chance at steelies and in 3rd they get a shot at ilbis. Fire gets glove attk scroll in 2nd job at jetis and something from Grupins that I always forget. In 3rd job, fire mage can go anywhere and kill every single monster at the same rate, which means they can have a shot at whatever drops they want without getting absolute **** exp. But priests... we're tied down to grims (crap drops) or leeching parties (people tend to not share spoils with priests so much).

Grupins drop Tobis. Besides some Anakas, I never got anything decent from Jetis. Just Anakas and gloves worth less than 100K. The only time I'd choose an I/L over a cleric is maybe if I were vaccing. I swear, they drain so much money.

Only reason Fire Wizards can make money is because we almost never get hit :/

Not the best, but I don't feel like finding anything more. Basically, you take very little bump damage at Retz, the respawn rate is crazy, and they give good enough exp THAT IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER THAT THEY ARE NOT WEAK TO LIT.

This pretty much sums up the last 8 hours with me and Maple. I can't seem to get into to any server on any channel. I have tried the following:

Router reset, Modem Reset, Direct connection to the modem, Repair wireless connection, repaired wired connection, Released wireless ip, Renewed Wireless ip, Released wired ip, Renewed Wired ip, Uninstalled maple story, Deleted gameguard folder, Manually patched maple story, Deleted HOSTS file, manually Edited HOSTS file, Punched the computer, Verbally abused the computer, Got mad at my girlfriend, Reset the computer, Set up Static Ip adresses for all connections to the internet, disabled all types of firewalls, virus scans, adware scans, All scans.

I ended that abruptely because im sure there are things I have left out. It all started last night when I was trying to travel from Orbis to Ellenia, when in midship ride, I got dc. It happens. So I tried again, another dc. Again, Dc, again dc, again dc. Only on the ship would I dc. I went and wondered around for an hour, taking orbis tower to El nath, completeing a quest, going to aqua roada. I actually went from aqua to ludi. Tried to train from ludi to orbis.. Dc. So I quit for the night. Only to find the above mentioned plagueing my day.

If anyone has any suggestion im more than willing to try out anything and everything. Btw, hows a dexless warrior sound? sounds good to me.

Have you been hacking? Especially with dHTTPd bypass rev 1000(Yeah, that's an exact name. No one's gonna dl it anyway knowing it'll probably screw up MS for them).

I'd like to say it's the fact that you deleted GG, but I don't know for sure. Try uninstalling it(including not deleted GG until it does it) and reinstalling it.

@87x a dexless warrior is really good, but it costs a lot of money. In fact, so much that I don't think even FFR would be willing to donate. Also, they have enormous accuracy issues if they don't have that money where they end up not being able to hit something they should be able to.

Meh, I've been playing MapleStory again. I'm kinda needing help on a certain quest. Killing tigers takes forever. But I guess I can do it. BTW, I want to start using Game Cam for recording MS, but it keeps on getting tracked as a hacking program by Game Guard. Is there like a Game Guard bypass program I can use? XD

I like Assasins in Maplestory. Used to be an Assasin at lvl 40 or 50 something. I was pretty good.I don't play anymore though. Maplestory is still very popular, and I'm not surprised. It was a very good game, not to mention cool.
