I think it's also possible to finish with less than 8 misses if you really have a lot of ingenuity.

I think that's a secret arrow... IIRC 314 is the highest to get legitly and if you super mash there's a chance of hitting a secret arrow or something like that.

I think Dore is correct. Smitt's SS has a total of 349 steps, while yours has 350. It might be a fluke. Who knows?

Maybe I'm thinking of Fantran vOld

And there are secret arrows during the file sometimes too. I know Fantran vOld had one, GGC has one towards the start but a few seconds in. I was thinking there was one here too. *shrug* It's been a while.

sprite I'm pretty sure you hit a secret arrow in that one, and yes they CAN show up ANYWHERE in a file, it's just rare for them to be anywhere but the beginning

there is no reason whatsoever why you should be able to get 315 otherwise, there are only 2 0-framers in that part...

Tasselfoot: you can't "bs" it... not like you can get secret arrows... it's the 2nd half.

Edit: also isnt it possible that i mashed an extra good-miss from the beginning of the second half?

Shash is really trying to prevent being proven wrong, but it's going to happen eventually. I doubt I'll ever be good enough to get 8-0-6-0, but I'm almost certain it's possible if you're a god and you know how.

Not sure about that 315 combo thing though.

rofl. I randomly AAA'd Sepia on my first try today, and hit f5 instead of print screen for some reason. I surprised myself when I got past the trills, especially the one where a 16th trill turned into a 24th trill.

doug: no, that is definitely impossible

you cannot avoid a miss on a 0-framer, period...it's as possible as getting a perf on a 2-framer, for the same exact reason

It's possible. You use autofail so you fail at the end, after you've hit the notes, but before it says you've missed them.

abusing autofail to get a higher score than would otherwise be possible = cheating

autofail isn't meant to be able to give you a higher score on anything

although you get props for a nice idea there
