take that one up with Shash. my comments were merely that it was overstepped. aka "layered". that "layering" is likely fine for the upper tier SM group... but for FFR, were 99% of the people can't pass it... its too difficult for the song.

you guys do need to take that into account.... that the VAST MAJORITY of ffr users can't play the VAST MAJORITY of the files being released. most of the files being released are 7-10... while most of the users are in the 3-5 range.

it just happens that the majority who are vocal on the forums are all top players. it's like.... congress. they're all part of the wealthy, so rules and **** get inacted to help them, since they have the power.

It's well and good to have easy songs- HOWEVER:

A hard sounding song like Melonman's OP does not constitute an easy chart.

How upset would we have all been if Shashakiro had made Vertex Beta some kind of piss-easy 3 footer song with only 4ths?
Or if everyone only stepped to the 4ths/8ths in every sharpnel song?

It's one thing to make a song easy for all to enjoy. It's another thing to purposely simplify a chart to the point where it's boring.

I played several hard Melonman's Op files that I thought were much better than that one, FYI

also overstepped/understepped is softened BIGTIME for V2's, if the original CIA Rave wasn't in the game then V2 wouldn't have had a chance.

You can get an easy file in if it fits well with the music.

When you've released something I've actually played more than once upon my own discretion, I'll consider your opinion/thoughts to be a bit more credible.

Because FYI, the only other person I know of to make a Melonman's OP file, is hi19hi19.

EDIT: Klung Klung wasn't bad though, admittedly. Poor example.

EHHS was my 3rd file ever, it was godawful like almost everyone's first few files, I openly admit that

Vertex Beta was received very well by most FFR players, just because you and the other SM people didn't like it because you're bored of stream/disagree with that style of jump placement doesn't really mean jack

also we've had at least 5 Melonman's Op submissions, and I definitely liked at least 2 of them more than that one

And gap on Orchestral Angels? *Sighs* I suck at gap and JX said that it should be at that (EDIT: I rechecked the gap and it was a number I didn't remember =O, not sure what happened there >.<) Do you guys just not want the gap messed with at all?

Monster...will try to fix up streams when I have time. Play is nearing the end, so I should have some more stepfiling time now.
