Re: Guitar Hero Megapack
Just finished Six, 19 Beginner/14 Heavy/22 Oni
Beginner = GH steps onto 4 arrows Heavy = Jackless, quite fun IMO Oni = stepped all sounds, OUCH might submit it to this, or I might just release it EDIT: nah I released it, you can still use it in here unless you're really big on having stuff be super exclusive

And BTW, Beginner must be a pad file, you need to move the Beginner into Oni or Edit or something. It will be moved around that way in the pack if your file makes it. I'm not anal about that like Tass is for his files but please follow the submission rules. GH conversions are good things. Most of my files aren't straight conversions but they are close. I just wanted to make the file make some sense for index. EDIT: Shash, your files are hard. This pack is going to be so easy for the most part lol, and your Edit difficulty is lol. Lemme guess, Beast and the Harlot oni will be like this too?

Re: Guitar Hero Megapack
BatH Oni isn't close to as hard as Six Oni, I doubt it's possible to make a GH file harder than Six Oni that is actually musically justified
and uh my machine does not like edit difficulties, so I never use them...you can move that around if you want

Re: Guitar Hero Megapack
Getting around to updating the list and testing all the submitted files this weekend. Testing AznRebirth's four files now.
Psychobilly Freakout: First off, too many jacks in both difficulties. Way too many jacks. Standard isn't a pad file or easy keyboard file and should be moved to heavy. Direct conversions from Guitar Hero to Stepmania don't work because of the massive jacks that result. What I do is turn the jacks into trills. The jacks can stay in oni but the Heavy should be somewhat fun to play. Fix the jacks. I also saw some sections that were pretty unfriendly for index. Fix those two and you have a chance at making it in the pack. Six: Shash already made this chart. Seriously, lay off on the jacks. Jackfiles just aren't fun to play. If they have to be there, put them in oni and edit. Less Talk More Rokk: This is EXTREMELY similar to my chart and all the other submissions I've gotten for this song. The speed-up seems a little off (I got a lot of excellents in that part) and in the chorus, there's one quirk for index. Probably your best file out of the four. Trogdor: From about halfway through to the beginning of the second verse, it's off by quite a bit--up to a whole 16th note off in spots. If you can fix that, it's a pretty good file. In the oni, I don't see the musical justification for the 16th notes in the jumpy section, but what do I know, my ears don't pick everything up like Shash's =P

Re: Guitar Hero Megapack
I didn't use any retarded BPM changes in Six and it's synced fine
GH overdoes it a lot, mimicing the band's slight BPM wavering is honestly not at all necessary and can often cause offsyncess
