Smile Kid Bands

Okay, I know this might sound weird, but kid bands are totally taking over the music industry right now. I mean, adult bands are still more prevalent thatn kid bands, but I think the skill of the kid bands can compare to the skills of the older bands.
Smoosh, and indie band from Seattle, consits of two girls. Asya, 14, keyboards, and Chloe, 12, drums. They've been making music all there lives, and there already getting ready to release there 3rd album!
Squish, a rock band from Vancouver, Washington, consists of Sarai, 14, lead singer and ocasional keyboard, Hayden,12, guitar, Josh, 13, bass guitar, and Anson, 11, drums. There working on an album.
The Flaming Monkeys, a rock band from Southern London, consists of 4 guys, either 14 or 15, and they rock!!!
And finally, Tiny Masters of Today, consists and boy, 10, guitar, and a girl, 8, bass guitar.
So, what do you think about kid bands? Do you think there as good as the adults, or do you think they need to work on it. Below are the links to the bands I just mentioned. Tell me what you think about them? Which one do you think is the best? You tell me.

I've heard Smoosh. They are utter trash for me. Sorry. And with names like "Squish", and "The Flaming Monkeys", through grouping by association, I have to assume that they are terrible to.

I actually took this seriously and listened to several songs from each band.

Not to be a jackass, but jesus christ they suck. No musical talent, whatsoever. It's like Kidz Bop... crap. A few powerchords and a basic drumline, with lyrics that either entail retarded crap or things they don't understand.

In ten years, each of those bands will qualify as perfectly mediocre. Congrats.

Young age is supposed to be focused on study, not performance. You need years of practice to be remotely any good, so picking up a guitar or bass and playing a three powerchord riff at age ten simply doesn't move me.

Listen to Joe Satriani, see him live in concert like I have, and then you'll know what it means to say, "I play guitar".

I was never good at anything that make me a pop star aside from the cow bell or kazoo. Seeing young kids involved with music is seriously a great thing though.

Agreeded. Unlike OrganisM, I didn't take the time to listen to any of those bands. Not just because of their age, but the name of the band. I'm definitaly judging a book by its cover but in this case..it's rather smart. I'm not saying that ALL kids bands aren't good and I'm not saying that they are. It just takes years of practice to sound right.

As long as the kid band is good, it's fine with me.

I have never heard of any of those bands. I checked them out. I'm sorry, they were complete and utter trash. I am way more talented.

I listened to a Tiny Masters of Today song, and they suck. I have been playing guitar for about half of a year, and I'm not that good, but I'm better than their guitar. I can't understand their lyrics because their voice boxes haven't fully developed yet. It's terrible.
