Last time I played ffr at school was when a guy asked me to after lunch one day (this past january or so I think). I was playing chromatique but had to stop since the teacher came and said I was hogging bandwidth from other computers or some crap. I got mad cause I didn't fc any of the fast jumpstreaming parts but they were still pretty blown away. I also played balloon fever last year in eigth grade for my computer class and everyone was crowding around my desk. I did pretty horrible but they were very impressed. Next time I played it I got a warning from my fat sack of a teacher to stop pressing the keys so loud. I eventually god banned from computer game priveleges for playing it again and hitting the keys too loudly.

Btw, people who watch you and think to themselves "wow this guy must be a loser to be this good" are ****ing dumb and ignorant. Does that mean you can call someone who's good at tennis a loser? Good at drawing? At playing chess? In every situation it's the same thing - you're doing something you enjoy, practicing, and getting good at it. Only reason people associate ffr with you being a loser is because they get the idea that you sit at a computer all the time and play the dam game, which probably isn't true in alot of people's cases. Seriously, to all the people that say it, grow a brain and realize you're not making sense. You really piss me off.

I agree completely in that. I wanted to punch those people who said that because they think skill is associated with whoring and warship of a game to get good. To be honest, I've never put in more than a few hours of FFR in per week, I just improve easily.

I beat some spread player from my High school a little while ago when I was still using one hand. I beat him 6 times in a row and he got all pissed and declared I was hacking. xD It was hilarious though because everyone who was watching us was like naw he owned your ass WITH ONE HAND!!!!

I felt like a lifelong goal had been accomplished. So I decided to go home and celebrate. I took my girlfriend out to eat at the Olive garden and she was all like "whats the special occaision?" and I'm like I destroyed some guy at FFR today. And shes like you're a loser. and I cried ;_;

You're right, but you have to understand it from their perspective as well. They see you tapping keys to music (which they probably think is loserly too, because it's not mainstream, but you can talk to Rai about that or something) at rates that would seem ridiculous to anyone who doesn't know better, and so they assume. Maybe not rightfully so, but it's understandable. As for putting time into tennis, others are less likely to make assumptions because it's something more often recognized by others. Something like drawing would probably get the same kind of reaction as playing FFR/SM, honestly.

Second point: something I touched on in that last paragraph-type-thing. There's more of a reaction to things that aren't widely recognized. Let's say someone sees you drain five straight shots from outside the 3-point line. They'll probably say something like, "Hey, you're really good. You should be on the basketball team." They're impressed, but they don't flip out. They've seen it before. Now they see you play something on FFR. Something that's not so tough, and would probably take less practice to be able to do than what you just did with the basketball. They just start freaking. "What the hell was that? Do you just spend all day with this game or what?" It's brand new to them. It's shocking. They don't expect it from anyone, let alone you.

At my school it's not blocked but if a teacher sees you playing any game then the take your computer priviliges away. One day my friend was playing in school(the only reason i wasn't is because i knew we weren't supposed to) anyways he thought our teacher was kool and wouldn't care but then the teacher caught him and he wasn't allowed on a computer for a week. (That would suck)

not to be racist or whatever, but that's kind of a typical American thing to do; to see something new and immediately reject it for something uncool or alien, for lack of a better word. It's more the fact that you're good at something on the computer that makes them see it as loserly. As said before, a couple people saw me playing silence on FFR a few months back and said those mean things to hurt my heart (), but then about half my teachers and people I know say they saw me playing tennis somewhere and are impressed, not disgusted, because it's a physical activity and not a computer game.
