Yeah, maybe you should. Plus if it takes you two times longer, that's dumb. I type like you do, and some of my friends don't, they type like "u r a qt" or whatever and it's not that hard to read, and since not that many people are going to conform to what you say, i suggest you learn to live with it and learn to read it.

such were the efforts of Webster when he put together the first official English language dictionary. What an idiot he was...i mean, why would you want everyone to spell words alike?

Anyway, I've devised a few ways to help improve the grammar of you dropouts.

1. Coherency is a must. This means, basically, to post like English is your first language if English is your first language.

2. Line breaks and tabs are your friends. Paragraphs increase legibility, whereas GIGANTIC BLOCKS OF TEXT (see : Specforce's posts) decrease it. (This means Jello and Nima, especially, too.)

3. AOL slang/internet abbreviations are retarded. This includes using the letter "u" in place of the word "you", "y" in place of "why", "gr8" instead of "great", etc. No one wants to read that crap. Don't type like that; that's not how you speak in real life, so why speak like that online?

4. Punctuation exists for a reason. Capitalization exists for the same reason. Properly punctuating and capitalizing your posts goes a long way towards making them more legible and intelligent-appearing. And no, this doesn't mean Typing Like This.

5. Overuse of emoticons is stupid. Don't do it. Or at least disable smilies, those things look homoerotic.

That's pretty much all I can think of. If anyone has any addendums to this, please feel free to post them.
We can talk correctly. were jus lazy cuz no one really carez(til now)

lazy?

that just made my day...

better not move my finger two inches down the keyboard, gotta conserve energy!

As if sitting down in a computer chair for hours isn't lazy enough, you feel you must exemplify your laziness by using a form of shorthand which could be corrected in a tenth of a second.

Good job of correcting grammar while using incorrect grammar yourself.

Wow, this is pathetic. Arguing over grammar, you have hit a new low.

Not that i really care, but I was saying that from your perspective. Also, note the "better not" error which, when corrected, should say: "I had better not". Of course, this was meant to elaborate my thoughts through dialogue. In everyday talk, you would rarely hear someone say: "I had better not move my fingers two inches down the keyboard. I have got to conserve energy"

Yeah, arguing about grammar is pointless, unless you try to justify mistakes saying, "hoo carez how i writ? im like lazy!"

If you're bad at grammar or typing, you should learn.
And one way to do that is by practicing.
It's valuable in this day and age.

Holy shit Moogy! Thank you for finally noticing that people are idiots.

I have been correcting grammatical errors for years now, in hopes that people will say things like, "Oh, I made a mistake there, maybe I should learn how to spell that word next time, so I don't look like a moron."

But no, it hasn't happened. I know sometimes people are lazy, and you know, put things like "jk" or "lol", and I can see those being okay, like there's really no other way to tell someone you're laughing at their joke, unless of course you have a webcam or they're sitting right in front of you.

I also can understand the odd mistake of not capitalizing, such as i. The word I is used a lot, and it becomes a little frustrating to have to hit shift, just for one letter. But other than that, just hit shift, seriously.

And lastly, stop with the ghetto/hacker/preteen/retarded slang. No one cares how 1337 you are, or if something is "teh shiz". If you want to talk like that, no, if you talk like that, you're an idiot, no questions asked.

Wow. And Dan Scores once again. Heh - Point proven Dan.. I myself try to type good. Even if I do use " lol " or " jk " mainly because I am just too tired to spell it out. But as far as the " slang " %$^# goes... No, I agree it all gets quite annoying. But point proven Dan, good job. -rawr-
