i never thought id come to ask this question, but i was in fact grocery shoppin today, and since ny has been having some ok weather, i decided to try to bbq this weekend, so while im shopping i actually notice, there are 10 hot dogs in a package, but only 8 damned buns in a package... wtf is up with that???

im not trying to be funny, im really dead serious, it just made me think about how screwed up the retail industry is... everything sold that has a mate, usually comes in a disproportionate size... is it just to get you to buy more so that you will have an equal amount, or are they just stupid??? the fact that they retail these items and people follow it has me boggled... maybe im slow???

I'm sorry if this post is very stupid and inaccurate, feel free to correct me.

There's many, many different brands of hot dogs/hot dog buns, meaning you'll find hot dogs/hot dog buns in varying quantities. Not every thing of hot dogs has ten hot dogs. I've seen packs with five, 20, 30..

Just like you can find differently sized boxes of cereal and differently sized things of milk.

well sure, costco has like 50 in one bag, but im talkin about the brand X, no name hot dogs you buy from pathmark, and most small grocery stores... but you know what, nvm
