I once saw this Pop n Music controller using tennis balls on a keyboard.
Apparently it worked quite well.

Nice one, Arch!

The white gloves are cool, they make you look like a conductor that way.

I'm thinking about getting an IIDX controller from DesktopArcade (when they come out) and getting my PS2 flip-topped. Import bemani are soooo much cooler than American home DDR. Even import DDR is cooler.
