It's good. I used to be an anime freak, and that is better than anything I ever drew. Plus, don't think it's bad. I think it's our nature to think what we make sucks.

That's not THAT bad tugz, perhaps the thing on the neck could have been a little tighter as in closer to the head. Good job though.

well it's not terrible that's for sure. i think the best part of it is the eyes...and that's a part many ppl have trouble with

I've always wanted to draw well, but no matter how much I practice, I get these random mutilated stick figures. Although, I've definitely improved, such as a face like thing and two arms, my drawings are still subpar to yours. =[

I'm not going to lie to you. It's pretty bad for a 16 year old. You should try picking up an anime magazine and try to copy what they do, then work off of that and make your own style. Or get a "How To Draw Anime" book, unless you don't plan to draw anymore anime.

OBVIOUSLY you didn't read the whole thread. I said that I have never tried to draw anime/manga before. Kthx for your opinion, but please read the whole thread next time.

I DID read the whole thread. Don't assume things. I stand by my opinion nonetheless. It's still a bad drawing. I drew like that when I was ten. I mean, I guess since it was your first time I could cut you some slack, but even my first anime character drawing was at least a LITTLE better than that. I know we have different capabilities, but it's only my opinion.

Perhaps you draw other things well though, so I won't say you're a bad artist. I'm just saying that your anime drawings need to improve.

Nice edit. By the way, no I haven't looked at 'Learn to Draw Manga' books before. I can't stand learning how to do things by the book. I just draw my own way, and it ends up working pretty nicely.

Do you mind sending me a link to your other drawings though? Maybe I haven't judged your capability well, and maybe it IS a good first attempt for you.

Looks better than my first try. Mine had eyes the size of planets and the flattest scalp you had ever seen. I don't have it any more because I drew it like 4 years ago.

Tuggz, when she referred to your previous drawings, it was because you said you had some in the quote she posted. ^^; I'm not sure what else you were thinking she meant.

That said, I also don't think it's right to discourage people unless they really deserve it. I've seen plenty of irritating anime art, but I wouldn't say this is one of them. It just looks like a genuine attempt to me. He didn't brag about it, so no need to try to show him how it's amateur.

I don't really know where I'm going with this, but I just don't like seeing people get on each others' cases for no good reason :/

Keep practicing, don't kill each other, jesus, dinosaurs etc.
