Whoa. When I was going through BPM guy's posts I saw tons of snapping answers. I'm his friend by the way, if you did not know. And there is no reason to state his name to strangers. The first post was incredibly long. Really, he is heaven. My best friend, really really kind to teachers, never snaps to his teachers, gets A's, calm, very nice and good sportsmanship guy. Today in school he was stressed. I asked him what the problem was. After the "Mean 'bull****'" problem was discussed to me, he told me about FFR and I joined up. Me, a player from StepMania. The way he is acting right now looks like the way he was stressed in class. He never ever acts like this. All the time he always acts friendly. But then you guys try to start pissing him off. Owe him an apology. He's gone through a serious bite before that has healed. He endures tons of pain except for the hamstring. But, all these snappy answers are making him more insincere than he actually is. If you guys want my opinion....

Also, you should use the Stepmania editor instead of a Notepad file. It's a lot easier IMO.
Also, explain gap a little bit more. IT'S VERY FUCEN IMPORTANT
And another thing: THE STEPS HAVE TO GO TO THE MUSIC. That's why you should use Stepmania instead.

Neither mines nor stops have been implemented outside of Stepmania (except maybe dwi but that's beside the point).

M is a mine. You put stops in #STOPS.

Nobody cares. Yesssss is right twice. Stops have their own section in the simfile --> #STOPS:

Anyway, BPMguy's reason for making this was for people that couldn't use Stepmania for whatever reason. I still suggest against making simfiles in notepad, especially if you have NO experience doing it in Stepmania. If I had started out in notepad, I wouldn't know what to do, even with this guide. I mean, the best someone can do is get a song barely on sync with notepad. There's no good way to test your file, either.

Still, if you INSIST, I suggest using a calculator along with it for calculating beats and stuff (it was the only way I could check my sync, which is still unreliable). If you want to see a notepad simfile, take a look at my Llama song. The link is in one of my other posts.

Okay, people. Everyone in this thread. BPM guy gave an announcement.

He was sorry for being such a jerk, and apologized, giving a promise he will never ever do flame wars like this again. He said if someone said his thread was useless, he would calm down. HE just wanted to make a notepad guide, that's all. I know tons of you don't care. He said he would take a few days off the computer to practice his emotional feelings.
