Nice diagram, pokelda. It's more entertaining than useful as the staff won't listen but it made me chuckle.

Im proposing a filter system. Its to weed out the straight out bad files and be able to give more helpful feedback in the process. It would give the submitter a more of an understanding on what the general part of the FFR community wants in a stepfile.

Basically, less work for you, more tips and tricks for submitters, and there would be NO change in how you can judge. ALTHOUGH it would slow down the wait on file judging, with the amount of queue worthy files you are getting now means that the supply wont run out anytime soon.

I know what you were proposing.

I don't personally have a problem with the numbers of files (don't think Tass does either), so I just don't think it's necessary. Besides, it wouldn't save any time in the long run.

The BPM is dead on, there's no streams in it longer than one measure and there's not a single jack in the file.

I'm fairly positive I've sent you my revised version, and since I'm assuming that's not my file, what happened to it? It was one of the first files I sent for this batch so it's not going to be a file judged next week or anything.

I could have sworn I sent a revised file for something. Probably Color of Giggles, but I revised the "Overstepped jumpstream file of AIDs" version of it accidently.

Hmph. Big Boss was another story since there's a good chance I may have forgotten to send it, but I know for a fact I sent this one in, right after sending in J219 which got in the game.

ok... so here is the deal... Big Boss was by Neonatrias. Car Sax was a file within 2 folders, as opposed to 1... so it didn't show up in SM to test. Fixed it and it'll be in next week's queue.

and, for the future... i'll not be lazy again and will add in everyone's names to the files. I have them all in the folder names... but I write down the information while playing it in SM... and only add in the names of the ones that I know who the author is. Exag0n, jimerax, and hi19 are easy, since they all have little tags that are displayed that say they are by them. But if there was no name next to it, I didn't know who made it when I tested it.

and Nice Nice Noise... I played the Heavy. the other 3 had freezes, so I didn't touch them.

For the future people... please only have 1 difficulty of steps with each file.

I hate this. I absolutely hate it. Why? YOU make it sound like you are the victim here. YOU are the one who has the ability to delegate you job to someone less busy. Instead, you constantly post about how little time you have.

It's one or the other. Either fufill your responsibilities without a gigantic fuss every time, or give someone else the job.

In reality, your inactiveness and awful stubborness is only hurting FFR. Why? Your thick-headedness holds back all the eager stepfile artists who want to submit files and make FFR a better place. Your stubbornness and incessant complaints are turning people away from stepping new songs. You have the ability to give your position to someone else, and it's about time you start getting off your ass.

While the judging is not about making it easy for the simfile authors, it is about making a better place. When your "lack of time" issue starts to actively hurt FFR, it's time to step down.

Complaining without any action gets you nowhere.

Even though I've done my share of complaining and shouldn't have a right to say this... I think you're getting a little too cruel about it. He has stuff to do, and he's going to be moving soon. He has a life outside of FFR, and judging so many files each week probably frustrates him.

We have so many files in the queue right now, that it would be fine not to judge any simfiles for about a month.

The sound that I stepped is actually 160bpm minijacks. I tried putting normal stream to them, but that came out as "awkward patterns".

I have no idea what you mean by "16ths", but yes, I am aware there are 16ths the file. I can see them too!

That doesn't detract from the fact you seem to have no idea when a file is actually overstepped or not.

I don't know what's wrong with the patterns, either. I mean, I was trying to avoid triggering the JACK SYNDROME in the stream, which everyone HATES. But I guess that you'd rather have 105 BPM JACKS in the file. Okay.

So what is it?
The EVIL HORRIBLE PAIN-INDUCING JACKS? Or just a bit of unorthodox stream?

Also, what's wrong with the first trill section? You don't like one-hand trills?
Or the fact that I split it up so that it changes when the guitar's tone changes?

Not at all. I managed to actually step the melody in my file, unlike Silver_Brian's which managed to skip about half the prominent 16ths in the melody. I also actually used good patterns, so that it isn't awkward as hell.

Orly. I have a life too! Too bad I don't sit around complaining about it on the forums every day. If I had that many conflicts in my life I'd probably DELEGATE or QUIT some of my responsibilites until I had time again.

Your file is a 5.5. 4-frame jacks in 5.5's are nothing to be concerned about, especially ones contained in stream.

I'd agree with this, but once they started taking them again in they'd get flooded easily with over 200 files, since I'm assuming people will be taking that time to be making more files.

If they create a rule that allows only 5 files to be sent per week after this month long break, I can see it working.
