What was the saddest anime scene you saw? - Page 2

I've had Grave of the Fireflies for about a week now, but I haven't watched it yet... I'm going to watch it now... I'll write an opinion on it when it's over.

I was very much underwhelmed by Grave of the Fireflies.

I was expecting a masterpiece and got meh.

Yeah. I didn't find it that sad really (not sad enough to cry). Also, if it didn't tell you at the beginning that they die, then it probably would have been sad. But, unfortunately, you know what's going to happen right from the beginning.

I saw it just recently.

It was a nice ending, but it could have created more emotional impact.

Definitely the saddest for me was Air...when Michiku dies/disappears. The whole anime was sad, in a way, but that episode was really touching.

And episode 24 of Negima, where Asuna dies. It was really sad, how they had the whole episode dedicated to her, and such. Then, when I saw episodes 25 & 26 in SPANISH SUBS??? :shoch: it was really and ending killer. I mean, seriously. Just poor form of an ending. Completely took away all emotions of, "Oh, I'll miss Asuna". :-/

I have to say the only anime that ever made me sad was Samurai X - Trust and Betrayel at the very end. I won't spoil it, but it's something that I want everyone to watch, it's simply brilliant.

I can't really remember the ones that were really sad but Graveyard of Fireflies was mentioned a lot and that was pretty sad. I hated the ending, though, it ruined the whole movie. It was just like "okay so now everybody is gone I'm just gonna.. go." I don't know. I do remember watching stuff that made me -sad- but I just can't remember what.

Grave of the Fireflies was numbingly depressing after a while you feel relieved when it is over. Then again that boy tried so hard to take care of his little sister. Yeah it was really sad. Just imagine yourself in that kind of futile situation.
And Samurai - X was brilliant as well although not as depressing but ironic.

It's not really a spoiler since pretty much everyone has seen it.

But.

In the first Pokemon movie when Ash died and all the Pokemon started crying. It sounds so dorky, but I started sobbing. Then I was happy when he was all alive again. x]
