I wasn't an avid gamer back in the day, but this is still awesome news.

There are a ton of games I'm looking to get on VC, but they're so slow about it. I wish they'd just add more more often.

Streets of Rage, PLEASE NINTENDO!

Ps. The vote channel is awesome lmao. Seriously, I laughed when I was messing with it. It's little things like this that generally make people smile, giggle and go "ooohhh that's nice" that's going to win for Nintendo.

I love it as well. This got me to pay more attention to my Wii again. This laptop has been dominating most of my at-home free time lately. Poor Wii has been neglected.

I like Nintendo's surprises. I can't wait to see what else they have in store. Maybe there will be a Wii-DS Connect Channel that allows free demos and simple games to be transferred? That would rock.

PS I want Punch Out!! =(

We got the Wii!

Yep. Got it. First game I got for it was Zelda Twilight Princess. That game is almost as good as Ocarina.

I also bought Super Mario Bros and Classic Zelda. Zelda hates me, but I love Mario.

So does anyone know where I can find the song on the weather channel and the photo channel slide show? Those songs are nice and calming. I just woke up from dozing off to them lmao.

I have some Wii Menu music and Wii Sports, too. I got it off a tracker.

I'm upping it now. Will post a link as long as Squeek or any of the other mods don't mind.

Thanks Ducky. I'll PM nForcer later then. I'm after the "Scenic" or something like that in the music section when playing a slide in the photo channel.

Fishing for fish in Twilight Princess was not fun. When I first started to play, I spent almost an entire hour trying to figure out how it worked. At first, I thought it was something random because it'd say "FISH ON" occasionally. Even after it said that, I was unsure of what to do with the Wii Remote and Nunchuck. I tried reeling in the fish with the nunchuck, didn't work. After a while, I started to notice that whenever I pulled up on the fishing poll while the bobber was all the way down, I would get the "FISH ON" message. After that, it was smooth sailing from there.

Did you once try looking at a guide. Whenever have trouble with a game I just use an online guide. I don't think I could stand trying to learn how to fish for an hour.

cC@Zz, I'm one of those people who refuses to use guides for RPGs. I feel it's completely unnecassary and defeats the purpose of any type of challenge a game might present. I can stand that hour. I'm a patient man you know. =]

Squeek, you are amazing for learning the tricks of the trade in ten seconds.

No, not really.

The fishing pole didn't even have a reel. What were you trying to accomplish?

It's a fly-fishing pole without a reel and with a bobber. Meaning you just put it in the water and once something pulls the bobber, you pull back your arm.

It literally takes no effort at all. The fishing pond does. And it's really fun. Comes with reel and all.

I've never tried nor knew how fly-fishing works. I always thought that all fishing worked the same way, once you caught a fish, you had to reel it in some how.

Fly-fishing has a reel too. It's just a cast and re-cast and re-cast and re-cast type of fishing. The same length of line is kept out through most of the procedure.

Fly-fishing is much more active than lure-fishing or bait-fishing. Lures are meant to look like fish or insects, and fish and insects move, so those are cast out and reeled in. Bait is intended to entice based on taste alone, so that just sits there. Flies are similar to lure fishing, but you don't reel it in, you just put the "fly" on top of the water in different places every few seconds. You only reel when there's a fish on. Another huge difference is that there's the reel line and the carry line. If you notice in TP, Link holds onto the lure while running with the rod. That's normal. Fly-fishing rods never bring the lure to the tip of the rod. It just hangs out like that. The reel line is your normal fishing line, but the carry line is thick and usually colorful.

The lake fishing in Twilight Princess is lure fishing. There are several lures that all do different things to entice fish to take them. But they all have to move.

What the hell kind of worthless game requires you to read a guide to know how to control basic aspects of gameplay?

By the way, I had a bit of trouble with that first bit of fishing, but it wasn't that terrible.
