Ouch. That's a touch one.

Look at it this way, this is another thing that will keep you moving. You're 18, a senior in high school. You'll be going off to college and you'll probably be separating from the both of them. It is said that your friends for life are usually your friends from college, so you'll definitely be able to start fresh then. Besides, isn't there only half a year left of school now? Look forward to starting anew.

As for your ex-girlfriend, you obviously didn't know her very well if she did this behind your back. To her, she probably wanted to move onto someone different.
Convienently, the easiest guy to get to... your best friend. He has probably has his eye on her for a while if you guys have went out for 2+ years. He was probably jealous and took this chance to go at her when she was weak, and on the rebound.
All-in-all, you don't have to worry about them staying together. He's probably using her for sex, and she's probably using him as a rebound guy. They won't last.

You have every right not to give sympathy towards them, but you are obligated for apologies. Don't be ignorant about it. People are cruel, and these situations show it. It's not uncommon. Best thing to do is forgive and forget, and move on. They aren't worth it. In the end, it was probably a positive thing, this whole situation, because it shows you a sense of reality. The worst thing for you to do now is wallow in the past.

PS: Someone please change title to "Worst Day of My Life" or something.

as for the gf thing:
i have learned the hard way that you should be expecting that your going to break up with them eventually. the chances of you actually having a future with them is slim to none.
as for the best friend thing:
thats why i never make promises. i dont even promise my gf stuff (sometimes i might like "i wont do that again, promise") and she knows i hate making promises because they are such fragile things. something could happen prohibiting you from being able to complete that promise.
and you cant promise someone that you arent going to like someone or make a move on them.
i mean these most definitely dont apply to everyone. but they are my philosophies.

but i know how it feels to go through what you are man, but im sure youll get through it... that is unless you do something drastic.
in that case you might be in a little bit of trouble.
but you dont seem like that so your good.

Listen to what everyone is saying about college. About 2 months into college and you won't even remember what town you used to live in during highschool. None of this will matter anymore by then.

My bet here is that something was going on without you knowing between her and your friend and this led to the breakup. In that case, all the more reason to move on.

I know all of this seems tragic in a super-emo kind of way but if you can seperate yourself from it for a couple weeks and try to move on to other things, it really won't matter to you anymore. Seriously.

Ooooooooooh. She's scared, that's what it is. That doesn't explain being a total ass and messing around with your friend, though. I'd bet she's going to come crawling back after a little while. And you'll probably want to let her come back. But then she'll leave again. Just don't mess around with her anymore. If she eventually comes back years later as a changed, better person, then give her a chance. Until then, forget her. Push her out of your mind as soon as you can and it'll make you feel better.

As for your friend...you live with him? o_O That makes this a bit more complicated, cuz you can't just get away from him. I dunno man, but like somebody else said, bros before hoes. He should know better than that. =\
