first of all, I don't support hackers. it is a stupid thing to do, and is kind of annoying.

if someone hacks, big deal. it's not the end of the world. it doesn't affect you. at all.
so what if someone gets on the high score list who shouldn't? does that matter? are you so conceited that your username has to be up there too?

man, if people think this seriously about FFR, they must have learned not to have fun a long time ago. why don't you just play the game? it's fun.

The point is that they did not earn their score. They cheated, and cheaters shouldn't be allowed to prosper. How would you feel if you graduated #2 in your high school class, and the person that graduated #1 was widely known for cheating on all his/her tests?
If you would just lay down and let that happen, you really really need to learn to stand up for yourself and stand up for your beliefs. If you think cheating is wrong, SPEAK OUT AGAINST IT. If nobody says anything, then nobody will think something's wrong.
The more we complain, the closer we get to something being done about those hacked scores which are taking away the "spotlight" from the people that truly deserve it. I don't know about you but when I accomplish something that's not often (or even never before) done, I like to take pride in that.

Yes I can. I just did. Reread my post, idiot. Basically, you're saying that this applies to this, and this only? That's kind of like saying you want your bread buttered this way this time, but not every time. You're saying that the rules should only apply when they are fit and proper for your needs. That's like saying "Well, murder is bad, except this one time because the defendant is my cousin, so I'll let him off." Think about what you're writing before you post, and consider the implications of things.

HAH somebody obviously didn't read Anti's last post. I agree there shouldn't be any exceptions whatsoever when it comes to cheating/hacking. Cheating your way for the highest scores in school is wrong, and cheating your way for the highest scores in FFR is wrong too. Simple as that.

I don't even understand what your angle is. How can you possibly condone it whatsoever? First of all, I hate football. But that doesn't matter- I know what you mean. I would feel awful, and angry. But FFR isn't like professional football teams. It's more like playing football in your backyard with some friends for 20 minutes, and somebody cheats. FFR is not a large-scale thing.

almost everyone else on this site would say that hackers ruin the fun of the game because dreams of getting on the high scores are shattered: it's one of the better feelings in the game when you know you have the skill of a top player-that's their opinion

I have checked, and I have only one IP logged on Life-Death, meaning he has a secure connection. That secure connection would show up as AO's if it was his. It didn't. Either AO was IP banned and got a new IP, or it isn't him. Judge for yourself, those are the facts.

Um, I don't know about the rest of the people around here, but all I've been saying is "cheaters suck, something should be done about the hacked scores." I don't find that to be "huffy", I think that's a pretty simply and calmly stated request.
We're just tired of you telling us that we're wrong and we shouldn't want the scores to be removed. Nobody here is doing anything extreme about this issue, we aren't spamming or making petitions or anything stupid like that. We merely state our opinion when the topic comes up. What is wrong with that?

And it's less fun for some people when there are hacked scores around. Whether or not you think it's right to have less fun for that reason is irrelevant, the fact is that the scores bother some people.

The community determines if they're relevant or not. If nobody in the community cares, then it's not an issue. But some people do, so it is.

You're in a majority rules environment trying to tell the majority to change their mind on an issue. That just doesn't happen, no matter the forum (forum being used in the broad sense of the word...not as in an internet forum )
