I can still give advice you know, not like I'd forget everything I've ever done, and I'll still play middle - index - index - ring, but nowhere near anything worth mentioning, a song or two a week, most likely just new releases by people I like.

Scores wise, ya, nothing unless this magically fixes or I decide that pain is a good thing.

Are you the second well-known SM player to be victim of something like this? Pretty sure Rewind had something like this as well. Wow, that just sucks. I would be a lot more pissed that playing SM ruined my finger/hand/wrist/whatever for other stuff, though. That blows. If you're not afraid of blowing out another finger, though, try picking up index. It's fun.

Yes, Rewind developed Carpal Tunnel, which is what I could end up with should I continue to just keep playing. Blurk also developed RSI, which is why he switched to pettanko for a while (or still is, don't know, Zagh told me that).

It doesn't wreck much, just feels sore quite a lot to touch, or lifting things can hurt if I put too much pressure on that one finger.

Also, I used to always have warm hands, as in they never got cold, now they barely ever get warm, heh. I have to wear gloves sometimes, and I haven't worn gloves in about 15 years.

Also, I can't do index for the life of me. I'm better at one hand than I am at index. Like I said, if anything I'd just replace my middle with my ring finger.

Still, is nice to see people care enough to post.

Isn't there any sort of physical therapy you could do to ease the pain in general?

No idea, Blurk said there was exercises, guess I'll check it out, I think not playing is the best way for it to fix itself though.

Am slightly worried if it were to get worse and become carpal tunnel or something like Rewind got.

Eh, that sucks. Your scores were quite close to mine (except for jacking scores offcourse)

Why don't you try index ? I started practising it seriously a week ago, it's actually fun to do.

A great loss to the SM community.

Yeah, everyone's gonna get some muscle injury from SM/FFR eventually.

I think only fast players get injuries from SM/FFR. I've never had a problem with my fingers ever, and a play a lot. But yesterday, i tried SM, and got like 600 combo on Strangeprogram, and my hand did hurt because i was actually pushing it. Sorry about your injury Raping. If I were you I would quit, but that's just me. It's not worth another couple of years of playing, and then having carpel tunnel for the rest of your life.

I already have quit, I haven't played since I started this thread.

I will play the odd file though, like the pack submissions I am judge for, or the odd file that I want to see. Those shouldn't affect it enough to make it worse, seeing as how that is like 1 file a week.

Hi, I'm here to talk to you today about a thing called Stepmania.

Many of you have probably heard of this Stepmania before, and the lucky ones haven't played it. It's a dangerous program that should be avoided, and here's a story to reveal why.

19 year old TRD had a great life. Friends, family, even a fiancee. He was even going to graduate high school with honors.
Then one day his friends told him about something that would change his life forever.
"Hey TRD u shud dl SM its rly swet n try my simfle I sware it dussn't hav that many jacks"
TRD decided, "Why not? After all, it only has a few jacks."
TRD soon became addicted to this game and began to download more and more simfiles with increasing difficulty.
One day his friends told him about a file called Jackhammer Madness. They said he'd love it and needs to download it. TRD said, "I'd rather not, I heard how bad that stuff can mess you up." His friends pressured him until he gave in. He began to whore the file. Then one day, a pain erupted in his finger. He had RSI.

This is TRD today. He now currently must go through 5 hours of physical therapy a day for his finger. Doctors agree that chances are, he will never be able to do extrenious activity with that finger again without feeling mildly discomforting pain.

This message brought to you by the loving parents who don't want kids to play SM (L.P.W.D.W.K.T.P.SM)

I'm so bored right now rofl.
