Re: Deja Vu...
Then your eyes aren't good at sending messages to your brain at the same time.
To my understanding, Deja Vu is when one eye sends the message of what you saw to the brain faster than the other eye. Thusly, you see it, then think you see it again(because the other eye message reached the brain). I'm probably off but I think that's pretty much it. |

When I experience deja vu, my visual processes might not even be engaged. It usually has some sort of sensory experience to it, but the thing that makes it deja vu is the non-sensory part which tells you you've experienced 'x' before. Re: Deja Vu...
You know how people say that you have many many dreams during the night but you only really remember one specifically? Well i like to attribute deja vu as being something that happened in one of the many dreams you had that you do not remember although subconciously you have experienced it before. Remember, if it is true that you have a lot more than just one dream a night then chances are that your brain has used the people/places/events you know to play out pretty much every scenario in your head so its got to be right at least one of those times and when it is right you experience that feeling.
It probably doesnt hold that much water, but thats how i like to think of it. |

Re: Deja Vu...
I used to have deja vu experiences time to time , haven't had any lately though. Intresting is my mom also experiences deja vu, so this might be something that runs in the family and genes?!?

Re: Deja Vu...
It might seem a bit strange, but as soon as I realize I'm having a case of 'de-ja-vu' I do something different then what I remember happening in my dejavu. No idea why. Just a weird habit I guess.
Personally I think it's when you get into a similiar situation and you're not really focusing on everything, so your mind just thinks you're seeing the same thing over again when you're actually just seeing a likeness. |

Re: Deja Vu...
Hah, i do the same. I actually try to get out of the deja vu to see if I can do it, but my efforts always fail. I end up causing myself to follow my deja vu in trying to avoid it. ^_^ I hate deja vu because I can't explain it at all.

Re: Deja Vu...
a theory which I've read about was that electrons are able to jump forward in time. when htis happens, we see into the future. It's quite an interesting concept, and it's deja vu when you see it again.

Re: Deja Vu...
Every experience I've had with deja vu has been something I've dreamed previously. My dreams are pretty clear and I'm able to recognize a similar situation.
