Two hands are better than one. Whatever you can do better though.

You can, but when you get into the u/d combo, it is a little harder to press the down afterward, and can really mess you up. You can also pull your index finger over to hit the 'down' while your middle hits the 'up'.

Just tap your middle finger across both at the same time (getting perfect on both is easy this way), that way you can still have your other two fingers on the left and right keys when that is the next stroke in succession. Don't take my word for it, but up to about standard now I have not run into any problems.

My control style is admmittedly pretty bad. Three fingers, and both up and down are controlled by the middle. if there is a big up/down stream I'll pivot (move my index finger to the down key) but I usually lose my combo in intense, chaotic steps.

If you're playing with one hand, use two. It's much more accurate.

2 fingers to hit up down with 1 hand? Pathetic. Of course, use 2 fingers to hit up+down's with 2 hands, but with one just use your middle finger. You don't have time for fancy shit during 200+ bpm 16ths, you can hit them just as good if you practise moving your middle finger up and down quickly.
