Synthlight and bprc were advertising FFR on FMXF when they created the first ver of FFR, and I saw it a bit later.

Re: FFR vets: how did you come across this site?
I clicked waaaaay back when it was first added to AddictingGames. That was in eighth grade, so it'd be somewhere from when the site started to mid 2003. I played as a guest for a while, forgot about it for a few months, then made ToxicShadow, forgot about it for a couple years, came back, reregistered, saw a forum post featuring a webdesign battle between aperson and a nobody.
everyone knows the rest

Re: FFR vets: how did you come across this site?
I was in my dorm my freshman year playing this REDICULOUS form of ffr on cartoonnetwork.com lol. It was this thing with Johnny Bravo, A bar would move across a pattern of arrows and you would have to press them on time. Probably the lamest game in the world. Anyway, my friend saw me playing and brought me to this site. The first song I ever tried playing was BV. I think I last about ten seconds and failed. He played Uber V1 and I was in aw. I thought it was awesome and from there was hooked.

I'm an FFR vet, not a forum vet.
I think I was searching for DDR simulators on Newgrounds and UGOplayer 3 years ago, and I guess I expanded to Google and found this. I probably spent 5 straight hours on that first day = ) |

Re: FFR vets: how did you come across this site?
I have a friend who can play Stepmania extremely well and I saw him play it once. That was 2 years ago at my friends b-day party, so another friend of mine found this site and sent me the link. (I have had a few names before this one).

Re: FFR vets: how did you come across this site?
I'm not a vet or anything,
but a few friends told me about this, and I played it a few times, wasn't really hooked. Then one day I was in the computer room after class and these girls were playing it and I thought it looked familiar, and I thought they were like really really leet (they weren't, but it seemed that way to me lol) and I started playing. Then one of my close friends told me to play it, by then I already had an account but still sucked. Then I decided it was the coolest thing evar and played until I got better. I ended up with RSI and had to stop playing for a while and now I play a fair bit. < / lifestory > |

Re: FFR vets: how did you come across this site?
Watched my friend complete FotBB one day at my house.
I thought it was pretty cool since i played DDR with him every other weekend at the mall with a few of the regulars. I kinda forgot about FFR for a year, but continued to play DDR. Then I got a foot injury during soccer, disallowing me to participate and play DDR, so I came back. Here I am, ever since. |

Re: FFR vets: how did you come across this site?
I was browsing Yahoo! Answers one day when one person asked "who here plays DDR?"
As curious as I was to see how many people did, I looked at the answers. Not much response, but one person said they play FFR but not DDR and they had a link to the site. Yet again curiosity had me under it's evil spell, so I visited this "FFR" site. Looked cool and I played my first FFR song which was Captain jack and failed it like the n00b I was. As fun as it was failing I did more songs all day trying to learn how to play using the keyboard. The next day I found out about profiles and signed up for one to where I am today.

Re: FFR vets: how did you come across this site?
ieatyourlvllol: i remember that on KoL... i was pretty hardcore into KoL for a few months (racked up about 350 million meat, still sitting on my account). I forget who was doing that though... but FFR had a HUGE KoL thread, which is how I found out about KoL. about 2000+ posts. think eb started it.
and, there have actually been multiple threads on this subject in the past... basically, I found out about FFR originally around Nov 02 when drinking in a friend of a friend's dorm room. she was playing FFR... I tried it and failed Mario. thought it was stupid. Then I met Whorli, who is into DDR... I have never been into DDR, but I remembered FFR and came back, more to kinda learn about the bemani community than anything else. Then I fell in love. <3.

Re: FFR vets: how did you come across this site?
I saw Hans playing it a couple of times, and eventually made an account. I got into the forums in February when I saw Hans playing TWG and wanted to get in.

Re: FFR vets: how did you come across this site?
A friend on msn sent me a link. We both played, I got better at it and he continued to suck so he gave up, but I continued to play. Joined the forums a few days after I started playing.
