Super Monkey Ball is retarded. It's fun if you have nerves of steel and an unusually steady hand

You don't need a steady hand. At least, nothing as steady as, say, being a real surgeon. Red Steel requires a steadier hand than Monkey Ball only because it's oversensitive and requires you to be pointing at the screen at all times.

You do need nerves of steel. All of its predecessors required that.

I haven't even unlocked worlds 9 and 10 yet. World 8 was near torture in some places.

Edit: Haha post #1000.

If your Wii is close to your pc then Id buy the Nintendo Wifi usb thing. If not I can't help you. Nintendo official magazine recommends a Buffalo wireless router.

My mum asked me what I want for Christmas and I said Super Monkey Ball XD Hope she can get it.

I don't have the Wii. I'm so sad. =(

I have Exicte Truck sitting in my room, and i'm probably getting DBZ Tenkaichi 2 and some other game (Red Steel, Trauma Center, etc.) for christmas. I won't be getting the actual system, because it's sold out everywhere. (People are STILL camping. >=( I hate it.)

I really want to get my hands on the wii. First, a question. How hard or soft do you need to swing the remote for it to work? I'm a bit worried about throwing it into the TV by accident.

You generally only need to swing the remote softly to get it to work.

Most games can sense how fast you're swinging it. (swinging the golf club harder, throwing the bowling ball harder, etc.)

As long as you have the general motion down of which way the controller needs to go, you can substitute arm-swinging speed with flicking your wrist. It's not as fun or engaging (in sports) but it works just fine and you can still throw 90+mph fastballs or hook your golf ball on accident.

Okay, I finally got the Wii today. All I've played so far is the Wii Sports game, and it is better than what I imagined! The system is a lot smaller than what I thought, and really it's just so much better than what I had expected. I'm about to play Twilight Princess. I'll post my info. later. So excited!!!

Haha I've pretty much finished Trauma Center >_>

On Easy!

Two more difficulty modes to go.

Edit: Ok, so the last mission isn't the end. Turns out the Second Opinion missions with the second surgeon are "Z" missions, not the "X" mission in the video.

You unlock that when you beat the game.

IT'S SO INCREDIBLY IMPOSSIBLE.

ps Triti and Paraskevi SUCK. Worse than Savato, even.

Prepare to be mad.

You're one of maybe one or two million other people in this country alone looking for one, and that's being generously low.

Wow, been a while since I've checked FFR... been super busy. Haven't even set up my Wii since I got home over a week ago, but maybe I'll do that right now!

Trauma Center is great, eh? I forgave its comparative easiness after seeing the X missions. XD

EDIT: Alright, set up again now. I always have this crazy lag whenever I reconnect to the Internet after a while. I guess there's a lot of crap backlogged that it's trying to get for me. It wouldn't download the system update either, because of that I assume, so I'm letting it do its thing overnight. I also had an unusually blippy menu screen/Mii Channel too, so hopefully that's just Internet related and will be fixed after it's done >_>

So I just tried playing CIA Rave on the Wii. I don't even think there is a way to hit the arrows. It's so weird seeing FFR or any other website on my tv.

Wait until you open it and it's actually a Barbie Fairytale Christmas DVD. :P

Strangely, I am still having Wii connection problems >_> - has anyone else experienced this? I've played before on this same connection, no problem, and it did manage to download 6 messages for me... but it still won't connect for the connection test, Wii update, shop channel or sending Miis. :/ It just lags a lot or even stops at a black screen and I have to restart the thing manually.
