when the repetitive quarter note switches from bass to synth halfway through, it should switch from right arrow to left arrow, or something like that. And during the bridge, it would have been nice to see it balanced out to the left side more. other than that, pretty good.

Good steps, that right arrow hurts my middle finger though after a while.
That first part with the 32nds is tricky, I can't get it but I can get the others.

Finally got the AAA, 3rd to do so. Not bad.
lol at Fallen's score lasting all of about 5 minutes I thought the file was definitely innovative; I never would've thought to step anything that way. I agree with whoever said above that it should've changed arrows when the song changed tone colors, it would've made it flow a lot better instead of just making you think lol right right right rightright right right rightright right right rightright right right rightright right right rightright right right right omg 32nds right right right rightright right right rightright right right rightright right right rightright right right rightright right right right.

Repetitively fun...the 32nd's are lol (since they're mixed in with 16th's and whatnot). I AAA'd after whoring it...

Wait... what?

I really like the song and the steps (KIT ROCKS XD) but I do feel as though the song should be "Difficult" instead of "Very Difficult". Maybe be even tricky.
I've seen other difficult songs and the steps in those are nothing compared to the steps in this. So would it be possible to change the catagorization?

if the purples are gone, clear your cache and re-load the song.

its a pretty cool song...and, overall, good steps =) (i think i broke my right arrow key tho lol) ...oh, and the repetitiveness, length, and TaQ-esque feeling all make it seem like an ideal ddr song...

The song seems pretty good, and I do see the point about the repetitiveness of the arrow patterns matching the music. I suppose that the arrows could have been switched at a major change like others said, but I don't think I'm good enough to really complain. The jumps are a little tricky for me because many times I don't expect them. They don't seem too hard though, so with a little practice I should be able to get them. The 16ths and 32nds in particular gave me trouble, but I did manage to hit one of those 32nd patterns. It appeared to be in a RUDL pattern that I can slide my fingers through (the reverse, LDUR, often screws me up though). I could be wrong though because arrows that close together are hard for me to read. Maybe I got a lucky mash that time. I don't know. Anyway, from my one play so far, I don't see myself FCing this one, primarily because of the 32nds. Oh well. I'm not that good, so I'm not surprised I can't FC these songs easily if at all.

I liked this new song's style. Very different.
The only thing is the bursts seemed kind of out of place, even though they seemed to go to the music very well.

Thank god. Rolls are the only type of 32nds I can actually hit right.
8-0-0-2 after a couple of tries. Not good enough for an SS.

During the bridge, there are a couple of notes going to the synth that shouldn't be jumps. Other than that and what Talisman said, this is about as well as you can do a file like this with only four arrows to work with. That said, I think the novelty of this idea wears off quickly. Sometimes it's fun to have just a section of a file stepped this way, like Reach's Disabled the Flaw; otherwise, it's not such a great idea. Since one arrow is dedicated to a constant beat, you've only got three arrows left to work with.
Good file overall. I played it like ten times though, and I always mess up on one of the rolls. If I don't AAA this sometime, it will definitely bug me. |
