Is it just me or does x-mas suck this year?

I wonder if its just me but it seems i can't get into the spirit this year.
Maybe its becuase i've outgrown toys, but it seems pointless to me to swap gift cards with my cousins on x-mas when my parents can just give it to me.
So this year we're doing a white elephant. I just wanted to know if anyone felt blah like i do about christmas this year. I mean it has become such a man made holiday it really has no meaning anymore..

anyways, ive noticed that as i got older, the anticipation for christmas disappeared because i stopped caring so much about the gifts. I still enjoy the meals though

Um ok no perverted thoughts... a white elephant is when you give gifts you dont buy. You must already own them silly. So they have more value than store bought. And the results are usually hillarious.

I've found I enjoy christmas more since I stopped asking for gifts. I get better stuff.

It's something everyone goes through...it just means you are getting older. The feeling eventually subsides.

I know what you mean. I felt the same way last year, but this year I'm excited about christmas. Jewpin is probably right, the feeling will subside.

I concur, Christmas is getting more boring year after year for me as well. The gift giving and setting up the tree thing isn't motivating me into the spirit like it used to be.

I guess I outgrew that stuff and now I only enjoy this holiday for the 2 weeks away from school.

This is the best xmas I've had yet; Someone here set up a Wizards of Winter display with his house! It does a lot of other songs too.

I love christmas but i made such an extensive list, and was so specific that I don't think i'll have many surprises, which is my favorite part of christmas. What's better than Christmas though is Christmas Eve. It really is.

One of the few things I will get to enjoy this Christmas is going to see Trans Siberian Orchestra on sunday, that should be entertaining.

I love christmas, always have, always will.
At 21 i am still acting like a kid in a candy shop everytime i see decorations or hear christmas songs.

I think i will just always love christmas... even though it isn't the same when you live in asia and it dosn't get cold =(.

I hear you guys. It seems like the days until Christmas are just melting away, and I don't even care that much. My family and I aren't even decorating or anything. last year I was anticipating it, this year, I just don't care very much. I guess the feeling for me starts at 15. Oh well, maybe I'll be back into it by next year.

Just wait till you spend a couple years without Xmas, traveling through other parts of world not really spending time with your family. It's great.

It's going to be near 80*F on Sunday in southeast Texas. Is doesn't look like it's going to get cold down here anytime soon. By the way, two years ago on Christmas Eve, it snowed. I wish it did again.
