I agree your best chance is probably after the holiday season. Feb would be a time I would think the Wii sales would slow down enough where they're not selling out the first day.

Feb. might be a bit late. I heard that the frenzy will slow down about a week or two after Christmas. After all, Channukah starts tommorow and Christmas is over on the 26th, so then people won't be so pushed to get one.

At the very most, I'd say third week of January, but hey, I've been wrong before.

It also seems that for whatever reason, stores in my area are holding off on putting Elebits on the shelves.

It's going to take a bit of scouring to procure the game. My friend is home from college, so he's gonna go with me this weekend. We're going everywhere until we find a store that has it.

I wonder what the deal is with that.

I want the plushie of it that you can get from pre-ordering the game, but I put the game on my Christmas list, so I doubt my parents will just happen to get it. ;_;

Also: eh? I thought Elebits release date was the 19th. (That might explain why it's not on shelves :P ) Although after a bit of searching, it seems that it used to be the 19th but Gamestop said it moved up a week? I dunno. Well, don't be surprised if you can't find it until then.

Best Buy says they got it on the 14th. Circuit City says they don't have it yet. CompUSA is like what.

To get the games, the best places to go would be actual game stores, not Best Buy/Meijier's/Wal-Mart/whatever. I saw Elebits yesterday when I went into GameStop to pick up the old Pheonix Wright game.

IN OTHER NEWS: Pheonix Wright is great and everyone who has a DS should be required to get it.

Yeah, I found it at my GameStop. Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-Mart, and Target came up negative.

Off to play it despite the fact that it's a Christmas present.

Going to get my Wii tomorrow. I plan to get an extra controller, Twilight Princess, and 2 of the following 3 games (if I can. if not just one)

Rayman
Monkeyball
Elebits

Which 2 should I get? I'm gonna check the thread in the morning and hopefully someone will have posted =\)

I'd say Monkey Ball and Elebits. I mean, I'm not even getting Elebits yet, but it just seems incredible. Oh, and Trauma Center: Second Opinion is amazing. At least consider it.

I've never played any of the monkey ball games before so I'm still deciding if I should try the one for the Wii.

Monkey Ball is fun. I don't know about it on Wii, but it sounds like it would work.

Alas, I am waking up at 5:00am on Sunday to get a Wii.

The lengths I go to for my inner nerd.

Elebits is incredibly fun. Very hard though. Just got to the 8th stage and I failed for the first time. Came within seconds on stage 7.

It's not all just "throw crap around looking for elebits". In some stages, you have to keep quiet the whole time, and in others you have to make sure not to break things.

But really the best fun is going back to the stage to do a "get the most watts possible" where nothing matters but finding the guys.

Oh, and multiplayer is pretty sweet.

1) Get Monkey Ball if you had the GCN versions and liked them. If not, well, it's still a really solid game.

2) Get RayMan if you have lots of friends. It's heavy on the multiplayer.

3) Get Elebits because it's fun.

4) Get Trauma Center because it's fun.

5) Consider Red Steel because it wasn't half bad.

Yeah, I'm kinda excited for the multiplayer stuff... I guess I'll go for Rayman and Elebits now, and pick up Monkey Ball (and probably Trauma Center, maybe Red Steel) some other time.

Edit: No luck =\ First they told me it doesn't come with the normal truck, but a separate one that wasn't there yet, and then they told me it wasn't coming until tomorrow. I doubt I'll be able to go early tomorrow... Damn. I did get Elebits and a controller/nunchuk, though.

In slightly related news:

The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess = Game Informer's 2006 GAME OF THE YEAR

Nintendo: Publisher of 2006, Developer of 2006

And in the tradition of Pheonix Wright on the closing of Clover studios....

OBJECTION

Haha oh crap =/

I thought Elebits was going to be easy the whole way through. Guess not.

I've failed the level three times now. It only aids the replay value of the game by making it more difficult, so that's a good thing.

We whipped through the first six stages without losing, or even coming close to losing, so I was getting worried. Games that are too easy are no fun.

I also played some more Trauma Center since I hadn't played it properly before. I got to the 2nd "act" and stopped there since I didn't really want to keep going on a game I don't own yet but will in the near future. Came close to losing one mission but passed it. Even S-ranked one of the levels... somehow.

Man I love Wii games.

Edit: Warioware looks better EVERY DAY.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVsfc3JXzt0

I believe you play the purple one, and you have to do everything everyone else does in time.
