And Tsugo, yes, partying is better, but not by a lot. Sometimes I don't feel like being bounded to someone else and having to let them down when I get bored of playing. Soloing is fun a lot of the time and it leaves me open to leave whenever I feel like it without feeling guilty at all.

I, for one, am pretty angry about the priest skill being exactly like the mages' skills. Aside from the fact that mages have amp (which only makes that one skill much harder on us
), the priest attack will be just as strong. Priests having quantum explosion was one thing, but this is just ridiculous. =\ Plus their summon is way the hell stronger than the mage ones. This is pretty gay. ![]()

So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =( In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz. Also.. I thought eater didn't actually drain enemy MP, just took a pecentage based on how much they have?

Or if it's available, use a sanctuary to bring all monster hp to 1 and rush them to1hk them all. Seriously, this sounds really cool. I may or may not start up my WK again. Really, I just see myself hitting a lot of enemies, I don't count. Most of the time I get mobs, I get like 10-15 or 2-4. They just either pack together or spread out, but don't seem to like going 50/50. |

I thought it was you Afro who was saying YAH YOU CAN'T SR AT GRIMS YOU WILL DIE BECAUSE OF LAG. You can SR and then heal without dying, even if you can only take 1 hit. It's a bit scary to do at first, but once you get it down, you deal quite a bit more damage. And, I have no inspiration to get to 4th job because archers are getting nerfed like mad again, not even worth my time.

Tyler (well everybody, but especially you): Bookmark DREAM's topic. (S)he (I still don't know if DREAM is a girl or a guy with a girl character ) updates it with 4th job info whenever (s)he can (pretty much whenever there is a patch/available translation of a patch/new video posted). Each patch's new skills are put in a different color text, so you can easily see if there has been a patch that has added skills. Pictures and movies of the skills are posted at the top as they are posted in the thread, so check for those every so often.Speaking of videos, one of the newer videos (requires GOM player, only install the player, not anything else) shows a hero using monster magnet finally. Looks like it's a good compliment to Rush. Rush moves them away, magnet moves them towards you, so if one monster manages to not be near the others to rush into them, you magnet them towards you. Works pretty nicely. =) And uh, Cam, what do you mean archers are getting nerfed? None of their attacks have been nerfed at all (unless you count the inability to pot while using hurricane, but that's minor). Actually, archers have insane 4th job skills. There has been a constant debate about whether sins or archers are more overpowered. Main reasons archers are friggin ridiculous in 4th job: Critical Hope: +15 chance for +40% damage (aka: 55% chance for +140% critical) Bow Expertness: 90% mastery!!!!!!, +10 weapon attack (yes, 90% and 10, wtf) Concentration/Intensify: +26 watk, half MP cost, 3 minutes (10 minute cooldown) Hurricane: 90% attack, yes, but more chances for critical and incredible attack speed. Combined with 90% mastery and 15% more often (and 40% stronger) criticals it deals massive damage. This makes bowmasters great zakum body attackers Yeah, archers have insane ****. If you think you're getting shafted, take a look at mages. Flame/Freeze are only 100 base attack (same as 2nd job cold beam) to 6 monsters (yes, they do damage over time, but it's VERY weak and not for long). Summoned monsters are 120 base attack (same as 2nd job fire arrow and 3rd job explosion), with the only good thing being that (due to freeze/flame) they always get a 1.5x damage bonus. Priest's new dragon (300 base damage, hits 6 instead of 3, I think) is still stronger, regardless of elemental advantage and amp from 3rd job. Those uber attacks, volcano and ice field, use 6200 mp MP (double that for arch mages who will get amp (aka: everybody)). I barely have over 6200 MP at level 96. I definitely don't have 12400 MP by 130 when I could have that maxed. It will only be useable (except maybe just showing off sometimes) if used with Infinite Mana, which has the absolute worst 4th job cooldown. 40 second duration and TEN MINUTE cooldown. Meaning mages can use those good attacks 6.67% of the time. Archers' +26 watk, cost halving skill can be used 30% of the time. That is straight up bull****. I really hope they change mage skills drastically before it's all over with. As it is, we have crappy skills that only work decently if used in conjunction with other fairly crappy skills. Infinite mana has too huge of a cooldown (and/or too tiny of a duration) to be useful. The summons and flame/freeze or horribly weak. The only uber looking move is useless without infinite mana, which sucks total ass as far as usefulness goes. The only really decent skill is mana reflection, and it's just a powerguard for magic attacks. They definitely need to beef up Flame/Freeze and/or make the summoned monsters much more powerful. But above all, infinite mana needs to have a cooldown at least somewhat as good as the other 4th job skills. Crossbowmasters get an instant kill every 85 seconds, Paladins reduce 15 monsters to 1hp every 6 minutes, bandits get godmode for them and their buddies 10% of the time, bowmasters get +26 watk and half MP cost 30% of the time, and we mages get infinite mana for 6.67% of the time? Not fair. -___-

Knowing tendencies of Wizet/Nexon, they are going to nerf archers like mad. I was pretty sure they lowered the damage on Hurricane and they changed up the % for that Dragon Pulse thing but I'm not really sure, I don't pay attention very much anymore. Maple sorta lost my interest too. And plus, my kitty died and I don't want to spend more on nx because I'm not even sure I'll play that much anymore. So yeah... heh.

Cam may be just going through a stage of denial right now. Mainly because he has had a many troubles making it through as a bowman. Cam; get some therapy.

I think what they should do is throw those skills out, use their animations for what would be Quantum Explosion, and add the proper element of course. I also wish they would simply make flame and freeze's only purpose to be dealing a little damage and changing elemental weakness, rather than having it to be used to make the summons stronger. I HATE the idea of summons being opposite element. That is so ****ing stupid. Another idea: flame/freeze could be DoT and add the other element to it's weaknesses (both being burned and frozen make sense for damage over time). This would encourage partying between the two mages (even on elementally neutrals) and it would be a good way to rack up damage (with damage over time). The only problem I could foresee with it being DoT is it being over powered like Poison Mist. I guess it'd have to be kind of weak DoT.

Saw/Reported a 9x hacker today.. Isn't that disgusting? The maple admins are doing what they can, but theres no way to stop ALL the hackers.
I hate to see hackers.. of any level. The game isn't so hard that one cannot get to a very high level legitimately. Its not impossible. You guys are proof of that. |

Yeah, whenever I see a hacker, I imagine that he/she cannot do simply one thing. And that's grind... and grind... and grind some more. Yeah, grinding's hard. Getting mesos is hard. But that's what just is supposed to influence you to work hard, and do the best you can. Heh, I'm doing the best I can in FlyFF now. And heck, I'm about to get lvl 14 now (leveling in FlyFF is HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD. Even more than MS. Ugh *chilly feeling*).
