Seriously, the colours screw me up. It makes it look like... five times harder than it is. I really liked the red, blue, green -(i think? im colourblind), and occasional pink. With all the new colours I get the feeling of it being the hardest song ever and mess up. I wish it would have the colour for the speed like the symbol of a note on sheet music. Oh well..

This is EXACTLY what the colors simulate.

This song just has very complex rhythms.

Yes and no. It is going to the beats of quarter and eights and sixteenths and... so on.

But... it's like

eighth eighth eighth eighth eighth eighth eighth eighth.
.blue.....red.....blue...red....blue.....red....blue.....red.

In sheet music, it wouldn't show a quarter note where i put red. It would show an eighth and thus making it blue. I'm perfectly fine with the alternating red and blue, it's just the... -(hold on, I'll edit this in a second, I just need to find the colour code for the arrows)

Red = 4th note
Blue = 8th note
Dark Purple = 12th note
Yellow = 16th note
Light Purple = 24th note
Orange = 32nd note
Light blue = 48th note
Green = 64th note

Okay, it's just the ones after that that make it confusing. I guess.

I dunno. Augh, I need some blank sheet music and some colour pencils, hahaha. I think you may understand. I don't expect you to change it. Just I'd be really lost in a wave of eight different colours on something like Silence or GGC.

Uber: every other 8th note IS a 4th note... which is why those are red, not blue.

If we carried your example further, EVERY note would be green, because if you take it far enough, every note is a 64th. just that a a quarter note is 16/64, 32/64, 48/64, and 64/64... aka, 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, and 4/4. an 8th note is every 8 between... such that their further divisible notation is 1/8, 3/8, 5/8, 7/8. 2/8 is an 8th note... but, oh, wait... it can be reduced to 1/4, which is a red quarter note.

Tass: I understand the concept of how this one works, and I guess you didnt fully understand me. I mean how long it takes until the next note is played, basically. like... say this is how the steps go on a full note.

1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 7/8, 4/4. It would go red red red blue blue. If I meant how I was saying. I'm fine with the red and blue alternating, but I just used those two notes as an example to make it simpler than explaining in 16ths.

And I don't know how you guys make the colour grid for these songs so I've no idea how you guys would make that work, if you just pick what colour is what or... what. Heh. I should try and get into this sometime. I lost where the thread that talked about making stepfiles is... Oh well.

But yeah, I forget what song it was, but it was pretty cool to get a wave of pink once in a while cause it's like saying "hard part!" now to me, the hard parts throw me off because it's just a barrage of different colours. I really liked the new skin colours but the NEW new skin is hard for me. I'm also colourblind (if anyone asks if I see black and white, I'll kill them) so it makes telling apart the colours hard when I try to memorize which one is in which place.

Ah. I just thought of this also:

Dark Purple = 12th note
Yellow = 16th note

How about

Colour #1 = 12th note

Colour #2 = 32nd note

As another way to have a unique skin. I wonder how that would look or if it would become messy.
