First off. I know this isn't technically the place to be posting food recipes and whatnot. Anywho.
Okay, so I'm guessing that atleast most of you enjoy eating Ramen Noodles as much as I do. So here is a couple new ways to spice up your Ramen experience. My first recipe is the gooey cheesy Ramen. What you'll need. 1 package of Ramen (It doesn't matter what kind, they're all good.) 1 Kraft single, or a handful of shredded cheese of your preference. Minced Onions, Seasoned Salt, Lemon Pepper, other random spices off the rack. Just add in whatever you like. First, start with 1 1/2 to 2 cups of water. Depending on how many packets of Ramen you'll be making. I usually have 2 myself. Bring the water to a boil and toss in dry noodles. If you must break the noodles, break them into quarters and toss in the pot. Add your choice of spices into the boiling noodles stirring frequently until noodles are cooked to your preference. Don't worry about draining the noodles. Just rake them into a bowl adding water from the pot until it's about half way through the noodles. Sprinkle shredded cheese of your choice over hot noodles and stir in the flavor packet. Let sit for a full minute or until the cheese is fully melted and give them another good stir. Viola! Gooey Cheesy Ramen! Also, if you like a bit of sweetness in your Ramen. Drizzle enough honey to give the noodles a fine coat and stir well. Red Pepper flakes and soy sauce are also nice additions to this dish. ---------------- Leftover Chicken Ramen Soup Okay, what you'll need. Atleast 1 piece of leftover chicken. I prefer the breasts myself. 1 package (or 2 if you're very hungry) of Ramen Noodles (once again, it doesn't matter what kind, but I find chicken works best with this.) 1 can of mixed vegetables. or assorted fresh vegetables if you're against canned food. Random spices from the kitchen (to your preference) First, start with 2 cups or so of boiling water. (a lot more if you're using two packs) Add in noodles, seasoning. Throw in some bouillon for extra flavor if you want. Cut off chunks of leftover chicken into the boiling noodles. Stir frequently for about 3 minutes, add the can of vegetables in just before you're ready to take the ramen off heat and stir until they're mixed well. Pour everything into a big bowl (soup included) and dig in. If you're using fresh vegetables, it's good to bring them to a sizzle in a pan with soy sauce before tossing them into the noodle/chicken mixture. This is also good with crackers. Like most soups. =] I'm sure that it will also work for other meats, such as ribs, fish, lamb. etc. Experiment with your Ramen!!! -------- Well, There you are. A few new ways to prepare Ramen. I'm looking forward to seeing other unique ways to eat Ramen so post it up people! |

The cheesy ramen sounds amazing, without the onions.

cheese + ramen = disgusting
A friend of mine told me a unique way of preparing ramen. He would crunch up the entire bag and deposit half of the flavoring packet into the bag. He would then mix the bag up to get the flavoring all over every noodle. Then he would eat them without cooking them. I still haven't bothered to try this yet. I'm sure it's pretty decent though.

The first one actually sounds pretty good, but I still think Ramen Noodles are so overrated.

Microwaving them makes them taste bad. It's either raw or the stove.

I've never even thought of microwaving as a possibility...Stove all the way. I've never tried raw though.

Ramen is amazing, raw or cooked.
Too bad it's so bad for you. It takes your body ONE FULL MONTH to digest ONE packet of ramen. The noodles are made up of some type of wax that your body takes a long time to digest. Plus, there's MSG in those flavor powders, which basically makes your hair fall out. ='[

The cheesy ramen has to be done right. I've had some crap watery cheesy ramen that was so nasty, it had to be thrown away and typically, I don't like to waste food.

Cheesy ramen - NO
Raw - depends on how much of the seasoning packet goes in. But it's meh. The whole packet though is waaaayyy too salty. Draining - Lol, my friend and I woudl drain ours awhile back and put it in bread like a sandwich. Not bad. But then again I was always starving at his house and anything tasted amazing.
