I know on kazaa lite there's a spyware killer on the start page, works pretty well. I'm at school though so I can't give you the link right now.

OH, most definately. Besides the fact that k-lite is faster and gets a lot more hits when you search for stuff, it doesn't bug the hell out of your computer.

Adaware was the program on Kazaa Lite I was talking about, I couldn't remember it's name.

You should switch to Kazaa Lite regardless though, it comes without spyware and adware

well i did the search on ad-aware.. found 689 things.. sifted through the list.. didnt delete new.net ( thanks for the heads up BEAN) quartined about 550+ things... hopefully that will make some sort of a difference..

to the computer people out there... what are some of the main things that could bog my computer down??...
i got a
1.6 ghz processor
512 megs of ram
80 gig hard drive

what other factors make for a fast computer..

the amount of processes you have running can eat up memory fast...you can see the number of processes by pressing ctrl+alt+delete...then go to processes...20 or so is normal...PF usage generally isnt good as well...

Page File usage isn't good, per se, but it is necessarry.

Yeah...my friend deleted new.net and it fucked up his whole computer

Try searching for spy bot search and destroy it may find someting esle.

Then delete all old programs and delete your temporary internet files.

i got 25 processes going right now.. i dont even know what pf usuage is.. so telling its bad doesnt help any..

Get Soulseek if you want a file sharing client that's actually good.

Bus SPeed is the other determining factor. Dunno how to check it, though.

It's how fast information is sent two and from the processor, or something like that. I forget exactly.
