I'm thinking about purchasing a PS3 within the next few months. One of the major selling points is that I would be able to play FFR and do everything that I would be able to do on a normal computer. So does anyone know if FFR The Game would be laggy on a PS3, or would it be just like a normal computer?

Why'd you have to make 2 of these? The other one should be locked or deleted.

If it's faster than your computer (which it probably is) then it shouldn't be a problem.

except for the problem with playing with a controller instead of a keyboard. i don't think they've made the keyboard for it yet.

PS3 has 4 USB ports. Any keyboard/any mouse works fine.

Hey thats an awsome idea. My computers not slow but FFR is uber laggyy. Maybe the PS3 is the answer to my problems.
(Is FFR's lag computer or network related?????)

FFR's lag is actually computer related. If the flash plugin is hardware accelerated, it would be MUCH quicker.

To top off Synth's statement, the PS3 itself has substandard versions of internet plugins at the moment. IGN did a test and found that loading some pages took awhile, especially those heavy in flash, java, or embedded with videos. Not only loading may be a problem, but the actual framerate will be reduced and smashed if the PS3 doesn't get a better version of flash soon.
And if you're looking forward to the PS3 for the internet browser, just get a Wii. Spend the other $300 on games or something that's worth it. Remember, they have PS3's at stores around the country now - go check em out at walmart. It definitely wasn't worth the wait. |

Linux can be ran fully on a ps3, so if that's the case, then you could also download a newer flash player. I'm sure. Which..y'know, screw this. I hate videogames. All they ever do is bring hatred from one system fanboy to the next. Why can't we all just get a friggin' long? I mean, seriously....Xbox, ps3, Wii. I'm getting'em all eventually. I'll probably play the Wii the most, mainly for the endless nostalgia. *sigh* I love you NES, and your big brother SNES.
With that said. Yeah, you can probably download/install a newer flash player. Which would fix any potential problems with running ffr slow/laggy |
