If you plan on fitting in around here I suggest you take these things into consideration:
#1: Your writing style needs an overhaul. Your grammatical structure seems to be alright, but there are numerous simple problems with what you wrote above. Tildes (~) are not to be used in that manner. "I" should ALWAYS be capitalized. Smileys are NOT periods. The first letter of a sentence should always be capitalized. And last, but not least, you need at least 1 space at the end of sentences, after the period. #2: Look at this: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...read.php?t=416 If you can avoid using romaji, it would be a good idea to do so. If not, don't bother with Japanese. #3: Don't take anything I've said here personally. I'm trying to help you fit in. Some of what I've said may sound harsh, but it's better for me to help you to fix your writing style now, than for you to be flamed for it later down the line. In fact, check out this sticky if you haven't already: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=40982.

もしかして日本人?その文章を見ると確か可愛い女の書き方みたい。^^あいつなんか冷たくて気にしないで下さい。けど、言った通りローマ字を使わないようにしたらいいかも。大体このボードの皆さんにとって大人らしい様子は適当けど、皆の性格は違うし、若い人々が多いから、好きに書いて下さい。^^じゃ、FFR楽しんで下さい!

Just because you can't communicate in another language doesn't mean you should accuse others of using a translation site. Ask any Japanese person here or in person and they'll tell you that is legitimate Japanese, unlike what the garbled up mess translation sites attempt to say. If you can't read it, just ignore it, don't go criticizing others because you're jealous.
And Chromer, feel free to use the kana ![]() ああ、アフロさんはつまらないです。 Last edited by concertm; 11-20-2006 at 03:17 PM.. |

"もしかして日本人?" I'm sure you probably meant the language and not the nationality. If that's not indicitive of using a translation site, I don't know what is.
ps クローマーさん: いいえ、 あなたです。

He said "日本人" (Japanese nationality) and it makes A LOT MORE SENSE if he meant Japanese language ("日本語"). I might not know a whole lot of kanji, but I definitely know that much.

もしかして日本人?=May I assume you're Japanese? (もしかして doesn't translate well into English, more literally 'could it be?')
Proof that this couldn't be from a translation site is that translation sites only translate into more formal Japanese. In this case, there would need to be a 'ですか' at the end of the question to even consider it being from a translator. A couple other sentences also are written in generally an informal manner (which is actually improper to someone I've never met before, sorry astralgoddess!) I'm making an assumption that astralgoddess009 is a Japanese girl; the girl part from the user name, avatar (yeah, bad assumptions), and the Japanese part from the poster's sentence structure. From my personal experiences with penpals, the slight grammar mistakes made by the poster are typical of english language learners, especially from Japanese people. Also, usage of smilies and '~' isn't seen much from Japanese boys, but definately from girls, such as じゃね~ and ごめ~ん, both from which I'd like to see a translator spit out. Then again, if astralgoddess009 is neither Japanese nor a girl, I apologise for making those assumptions to him/her. On the last post, I went a little overboard and I apologise. Thanks for not doing the same. On a separate note, I'm not up to date with translator sites but I don't think they can convert English names into katakana equivalents. Are you a learner of Japanese? If you are, I don't what level you're at, but surely you should be able to tell that my original post is written well. Translator sites always botch things up. Anyways, your comment to クローマーさん seemed polite; so you're either a polite person, a beginner japanese learner, or you used a translation site. Through logic, all can be deduced! (yeah for randomness) |

I do believe concertm has offically owned afrobean.
Anyway, astralgoddess, the reason why romaji frowned about here at FFR is because it stirs up the nerds and they get all restless and irritable...as you can see, and if you intend to stick around, you better get used to the sh*t the members talk...seriously, it's never ending. |
