Have you considered that maybe they're overwhelmed by the size of the game and thread, and having those threats over them are going to make them even LESS likely to do so?

Plus, like.. 199 was months ago. We're already a dying community. We finally have new people in here and I don't want to chase them out this early.

funkywong gets a less-so pass from me because their first post was entirely in regards to posting just because of worry that they would get vote rushed, and has said hello's & strictly neutral conversation, but I agree with ye.

If you'd allow me to probe your thoughts for a moment on it though, say spongebob comes in and starts playing like a trooper as we get closer to End of Day, where do you feel comfortable?

mcdaddio and funkywong haven't been entirely inquisitive but they've at least tried to participate and at the very least observe. spongebob has never posted and logman disappeared after 2 posts (aka not play the damn game). inactives =/= new players, they just happen to be 2 of them right now.

I should clarify that, when I said new players, I was referring to the 3 Xiz mentioned because - spoiler alert - they're all new to TWG.

My reasons for this are, granted, entirely selfish and looking beyond this game into future games. I also don't mean I'm never going to vote them, just not this phase.
