But the D3 is very unpredictable so for this, unless I get an 73000+ score I will not trust.

Undici is pretty rigid but looks more manipulation-friendly than You Universe imo. #frametiming

Hit it as series of 12th hands+jumps for the most part and gg

also, unlike previous rounds -- the parts before the preview actually aren't fodder either, there's certainly potential for getting fucked well before that. I'm interested to see how the remaining D7 players deal with it, haha

i'm really excited for odd22 because i think this round (Epileptic Crisis) is starting to be the turning point for at least where the top of this tournament's D6 is in terms of how cleanly a file can be scored on. I feel like I /maybe/ have the upper hand for the files on the other side of the Epileptic Crisis difficulty border

but only TIME will tell

In fairness, it's REALLY hard to find songs that are suitable for that difficulty that are not buzz noise crap
I mean, some of the other songs FFR has permission for that I've stepped at that difficulty level are Fireball and Bolt Thrower... not exactly any more musical.


EDIT- If anyone finds something suitable that they think is a better song, feel free to send it this way :P

Unfortunately, when You Universe is the hardest thing that was accepted in the batch, and the other solution was something that was initially rejected -- there's not much choice we have here. hi19hi19's fixes for Fireball were potentially feasible, but it placed way too much emphasis on overall streaming/bursting (albeit at an absolutely fucking ridiculous speed). By no means is it a bad file - in fact, in its current condition, coupled with a hopefully new mindset of file acceptance, it could actually get in. And uh, Fireball itself is still very much a noisy kind of song, so either way, it wasn't going to be much different.

For real.

I didn't want to see noise.wav.sm for Round 8 in any division.

There were two other choices for this round -- one of which was fodder literally outside of the spikes, and the other of which was fodder outside of one rather small section. Odd22 is much more demanding than both of those and manages to be a bit more consistent once it gets going, where the first increase in difficulty is tough but manageable for D6, and the second increase is just downright rough.

I thought it was gonna be some intense marathon file tbh
