I love D2's file this round. So much fun. I'd say it's about a 39? give or take a level.

D3 is not my forte. Oh well. I'd put it somewhere between 50 and 55. It seems to match up to a lot of other songs in that range but I'm not sure exactly where.

So was the goal for each division to be ~10 difficulties apart from each other?

                  Because...
                  D1 - ~30
                  D2 - ~40
                  D3 - ~50
                  D4 - ~60
                  D5 - ~70
                  D6 - ~80
                  D7 - ~90

I agree, all of them being rated 0 is fine. o/

In all seriousness though - here are my personal thoughts:

Division 1: Pink Cloud (feat. Max Collins)
                        Suggested Difficulty: 23
                        - There's quite a bit more in the way of layering here compared to previous D1 openers, but the aggression is quite weak compared to say something like the back half of Pembroke Welsh Corgi (22), which has some extended 8th note streams at what feels like almost the same tempo, along with repeated taps into and out of those jumps. The difference is that Pink Cloud actually pushes the button by putting multiple consecutive jumps in place, as well as the occasional triple here or there too. Polargeist is rated a 22 and actually pushes sets of two jumps on occasion but has a generally lighter structure, mixes a few 16ths and even has some repeated 8th notes as well.

                        Division 2: Insignia
                        Suggested Difficulty: 37
                        - Rather aggressive for a file of this difficulty, but the structure itself is pretty simple with mostly step-jump 8th notes and some easily coordinated 16ths, and that kind of structure isn't foreign at this speed. Harry Potter Techno Remix (41) has an equally aggressive structure once things get going, including things like jump-chains and extended streams at an even higher tempo. If we want a newer example that is a bit more relevant, Clocktown (39) has many instances of repeated jumps that would be executed at close to an equivalent tempo. It gets a few extra points for having some blips of 16ths that are relatively fast - otherwise, this would be lower than 37 imo. It's actually funny that I say this, because I've been up and down with how I feel about this chart with the rating we thought it was, and after second-guessing the value, I feel like it's just right.

Division 3: Follow You (feat. Danyka Nadeau) (Rhythmics Remix)
                        Suggested Difficulty: 49
                        - I'm really surprised how many people are having issues with the structure of this file. The part before the drop is a little bit tricky in terms of layering, but the patterns are structured in a way that once you figure out what you're actually hitting, it should be pretty much autonomous at that level. The one-handed trilling at the tail end before the drop is harsh, but not completely unheard of at this speed/level -- remember Fantrastic (46)? The ending is a little beefy in terms of difficulty, but not so much so that it's completely ridiculous.

Division 4: Red Sphere, Blue Sphere
                        Suggested Difficulty: 60
                        - I can definitely level with this being a 60. The structure is a bit forceful in jump usage, and occasional mini-jack collision happen as a result of patterning. The bursts in the chart remind me of a slower Otter's Dance. Trills help to drive this difficulty upward a bit, but they're not unbearably hard for the general difficulty area given their lower tempo and reasonably simple transitions into and out of the patterns.

                        Division 5: Funny Function
                        Suggested Difficulty: 69
                        - This one ended up being a little harder than I expected in terms of structure. The mini-jacks are a bit more prevalent than normal FMOs. The first file that came to mind to compare to was Starry Sky (which also happens to be a 70) because of the last 200 notes, and man - this file is WAY more constant than Funny Function is. Funny's got some pretty interesting patterns, but the fact that there's nothing super extreme/dense/constant over a long period gives this chart an opportunity to be worked on those who are still trying to gain some familiarity in the lower FMO area.

Division 6: Le carnaval des animaux, Movement no. 14 ''Finale"
                        Suggested Difficulty: 79
                        - You D6 players are not giving yourselves enough credit, goddamn. I personally think that if you can get a perfect score on this, you deserve Scarhand. The opening trills are a royal pain in the ass to time due to frame-discrepancies, the opening bursts come out to 300+ BPM 16ths with patterns that are not exactly the easiest to read, there's a constant jumpstream that's semi-extended at just over 200 BPM, which transitions into a second jump where every 8th note is a jump on top of 16th jumpstream, again, at over 200 BPM -- this is certainly not a cakewalk like you guys are making it out to be.

                        Division 7: oppIrish (GYPSYCOREremix)
                        Suggested Difficulty: 89
                        - I'm only giving this a difficulty of 89 purely off of basis of that spike in the dead middle of the file, which forces you to do a split-handed jumptrill into a roll that starts as a jump. Not easy to do at all. The rest of the file, despite being aggressive, is fluent. Even though FFR isn't used to see alternating jump-jacks at this difficulty level, the transitioning into and out of the patterns are not too harsh. A few split-handed bursts coming after some one-handed jumptrill [12] [34] patterns forces players to pay attention to their extry and exit points.

Yeah because D1 starting with a low D2 chart makes logical sense with the increased difficulties

In fact what they usually start with like 15-18 before the goal of making this tournament brutally hard so D1's chart being labeled as 30 is making even more sense the more I'm thinking about it

I really hope this wasn't serious. And no where did I ever say make the tournament "brutally hard" just kill off AAA or die fests that were going on for all the earlier rounds in previous tournaments.
