he threw in the towel because he proved all he needed to prove. played as far as he felt he needed to play. He didn't cheat and could've beat toxophillis if he wanted to. awesome player really.
Life troubles or not, you're an idiot. That been said though, like danceguy said the consequences should be exactly the same as any other but i suspect you won't be trusted with many events in the future lol
also, I really want to address this post, as the event manager...
you have absolutely NO IDEA how much YoshL helped with the official tournament. He was a part of the placement team along with the rest of the event staff, but he definitely was the leading force to keeping things smooth prior to the tournament starting. If it weren't for YoshL, this tournament could have been easily postponed for quite a bit longer. His mastery of spreadsheet usage/macros allowed the entire events team to plow through divisions placement in a very organized manner. In addition to this, he's also helped with previous events to engage the community -- he ran an Easter event with some minb-numbing puzzles that kept the community constantly on their toes.
He also has a very positive attitude in regards to what he does, and is always really serious about what he does. As I said before, this is a really tough thing for me to think about. As mentioned before in the thread, I was the one who approached him in regards to the cheated score in the first place.
YoshL also happens to be a pretty close friend of mine, so it's just that much harder for me to deal with everything. Having to write a PM to him literally implying that I felt like he was cheating was incredibly difficult for me, but friendship goes aside for the tournament to please a lot of other users playing in the tournament as opposed to trying to believe someone a bit closer. I'm not going to look at him like a bad person for making this one mistake, and you guys absolutely shouldn't either.

Oh man, dropping so close to the end is kinda sad actually.
