Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 3
i got dis, aj
Hey guys, if not apparent by the extremely large text on your screen - this is a preview for the 4th
round of the 9th office tournament.
DIVISISON 1
LET ME MAKE ONE THING CLEAR :
players shou;ld expect to see NEVER before seen stepfiles
no more of this cutthroat garbage ! !! expect brutally technical patterns and bursts of eighth notes every two to twenty seconds
SOMETIMES TWO WHITE NOTES AT ONCE (such expression, wow
)
this round is a > kick in the dick <
and should really separate the embarrassing shitty players from the sandbaggers (carrotcake94)
DIVI
2 ÷
Choofers strikes a second time this round, bringing Robotomy to Division 2. but gammablaster stepped one too guys
! players will have to step up their gayme this round , and test their sexuality like never before~
Division XIZ:
Grab your flaming pitchforks! Everyone's favorite favoritest bestest loveably loveable Cubone, Xiv makes a reappearance
(please contain your shock)
bringing D3 Sonny Moore's dubstep remix[/SIZE] of Tasselfoot’s free space [ffr edit] . with an equestrian twist!
(yes we did get skrillex permission blindreaper, but we also love to keep secrets)
background image is a feature-length .gif of the entire Land Before Time movie
Fun fact for the masses, this file was originally supposed to use four arrows, Except that we accidentally uploaded the Pump It Up chart.
i’m reaaaaaaaaaaaaally tired, someone finish the rest. sup dynam0

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 3
okOriginally posted by CallipygianThere's always some issue you can find with the exact terminology of a game. In fact, let me here make a case that the current system has racist undertones:
Blackflags are worse than whiteflags and AAA's are indicated as yellow in R^3, suggesting that a perfect score is Asian.Comment

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 3
I'm completely fine with where I am, but if this is the case, how did I end up in d5? The only thing I have that's close to a fgo sdg on either of my accounts is 11.4.1.14 on toxiFirst off: consider this your first formal warning. As mentioned in the OP and many times in the thread, do not complain publicly about division placements. Being that you did though, let me address things:
1.) SDGs on mid FGOs don't guarantee a D6 position. Hakulyte was placed D5 in the previous official with 7g on Breakbeat Acid (85), so it's not like this is completely out of the realm of impossibility. Consistency is important.
2.) FMO SDGs rightfully should be in D4, and FGO SDGs rightfully should be in D5, unless they stress a -very- specific skill; see: YoshL being put in D4 despite AIM Anthem AAA, and struggling to stay alive each and every round -- see: Zageron being left in D3 after Aim Anthem AAA, and getting eliminated on round 2 of D3 with a 100+ good equivalent score. No offense, but the 7th official tournament is FAR from the pinnacle of a good tournament, and comparisons with that tournament should definitely be negative ones. My (very blunt) two cents.
3.) Preggers being bumped to D6 based off of those two scores is completely unfair, but it is a difference in standards. Again, the 7th official tournament had a lot of flaws.
4.) /mu/tant corecore AAA is not going to make me budge for a D6 placement at round 3 given the fact that the song is less than a minute, and is very stressful on jacks which -- go figure, coincides with the skill point that YoshL happens to be good at. If the Scarhand get was on a considerably more technical file (see: Ketsarku Mozgalom [80], 2-9 [80], honki sentai [79]), then I would understand your point. All corecore has for difficulty is a 32nd wall, some 8th note jacks at 260 (very reasonable even for FMOs, considering things like bmv.578 have extended regular jacks at 160+ BPM 16ths) and some bursts near the end of the file. The fact that it's 0:43 seconds even further reinforces the fact that it shouldn't hold a strong merit considering that there's only one major spike in the file, and that it's highly replayable.
Next time, consider what you are saying before making a largely irrelevant argument.
