We didn't even have AP or IB. IIRC they were introduced here the year after I finished
We had 'provincial exams'. They were scored out of 100. The averages were abysmal, IIRC. I got a 95 in Math, 99 in Chem and 92 in English. I remember a publication of the Math results stating the provincial average was 38% with a standard deviation of 20 or so (Only like 28% passed it). To be fair, the math on it is quite a bit harder than the math on the SAT.
Still, terrible public education here. It has always been behind the rest of the country, despite having some solid universities
