Shit, wow, so that means that the lag has something to do with the engine trying to communicate with the servers DURING songplay. Which is strange as fuck...what a great idea, though. Can this be put in some sort of sticky on another board, since so many people complain about lag?

It's not something that we really want people doing because it doesn't record scores. It would get out of hand if everyone were doing it on the entire site.

I have no idea why that works. I did the same thing and it worked for me, so I figured I could just try that with Rob. Turns out it worked for him.

I certainly won't be accepting that for everyone, but Rob had an extenuating circumstance that was preventing him from playing.

This might be the basis of a new feature for all of the engines: add a "resend score" button that allows you to try and rerecord a score if the your connection fails for some dumb reason.
